It doesn't get in the way most of the time, though it does get suddenly hard at awkward and strange times. Unless something is wrong it generally goes back down without too much trouble. Relief from orgasm is much like urinating, but a lot less quantity and a lot more pleasure, but it's still a release of pressure, which should be easier for you to imagine.
Of course, it's hard to really make any comparison because we've never had anything instead of a penis, so it's a bit like asking a fish what being wet feels like. But I suppose that's the point of the question.

It's great! Far from being the center of insecurity it is more like the center of power. It's "Look what I got. Don't mess with me." It would suck being without it.

Having a penis has its pro's and cons. The pros, you can pee anywhere. It feels great when inside a vagina and anus. It gives us something to play with. The cons, women can see when we get aroused. You can't have sex if it's not hard. Erections can get painful at times
