  • it's a piece that covers the vaginal opening

    • What is it's purpose though?

    • I am not sure... but to keep bacteria out of the vagina? but I am not sure

    • I could be wrong? AM I?

  • It allows the body to absorb All the menstrual fluids and tissues. That's gonna keep you looking younger and more fertile longer. That's the Idea. Healthier women are able to absorb more of their menstruation and it's a big boost to their longevity.

    • You can't absorb menstrual fluid...

    • Yeah okay

    • My dick can absorb menstrual fluid.

  • Not a clue.

My best guess is it has some sort of sanitary purpose, like maybe helping prevent dirt grime and germs from getting in.

  • So buster can break it, lol.

  • I thought it protects the vagina from germs and bacteria. I also think it indicates if the women has had sex or not.

    • Has nothing to do with virginity.

    • Yeah I am not totally sure what the hymen is really for but I don't have a vagina so I would I know.

    • Having the equipment doesn't mean you automatically know everything about it. You Research it..

  • It's to keep bacteria out but let menstral blood flow out

  • It is unknown.

  • I don't know but if I had to make an educated guess it's to help with the development of a vagina and female reproductive system.

    • You say that the purpose of the hymen is to protect the vagina from bacteria but that is only conjecture not proven. The vagina has a lot of chemicals that kills harmful bacteria anyway and some bacteria is actually important for vaginal health right?

    • It's what makes the most logical sense. Healthy vaginas have some bacteria but definitely not the ones you want to keep out. Imagine being a baby girl sitting in your poop without a protective barrier.

    • Ok well it can keep out physical objects but I don’t think it can keep out bacteria. But it makes me wonder why it’s that way and not some other way. Ah well I don’t know

  • I could google but actually dont' know. Come to think of it I don't know much about the penis anatomy either lol.

  • Its for HULK SMASHING

    did i do wrong?

  • Hymens don’t exist. They are like unicorns. Or the female orgasm... It’s just made up stuff.

    • I could feel both around my normal cock.

    • @2Touch it’s a joke.

  • No hymen no diamond. 💎

    • Nobody wants your uneducated ass's diamond anyway

  • That's lost to evolution, but hypotheses are that it was developed to protect against bacterial infection during adolescence. It really serves no other purpose in adulthood

  • The hymen is a thin piece of mucosal tissue that surrounds or partially covers the external vaginal opening

    • yeah but what's the purpose

    • purpose of the hymen is one of the eternal mysteries of women's bodies. Although it doesn't seem to have a specific function, it's thought that hymen tissue remains as a vestige of vaginal development. Embryologically, it tended to keep germs and dirt out of the vagina

    • There you go

  • It’s a dust cover for the internal sex organs keeping germs out until menstruation starts and the vagina is Calle of cleaning itself, like a self cleaning oven. That’s why douching is so bad, it throws off a woman’s PH level inviting UTI infections, yeast and other creepy crawlies.

  • Ah too bad can never find a girl with one. I've always been curious about those things. Girls typically have popped them on their own before getting hulk smashed as a dweeb might call it. Lol no but yeah I guess the bacteria shield makes sense.

    • The hymen doesn't just disappear. It's always there (unless born without one) it just stretches.

    • ... huh not what I heard. Now I know.

    • Also has nothing to do 2ith virginity

    • Show All
  • No idea

  • I have no idea but I’m sure there’s some evolutionary theory about it.

    • Evolutionary? It's still intact and serves a purpose in current times

    • What’s the purpose? And evolutionary means that there’s a purpose in it that helps our species to continue its existence.

    • To keep bacteria out
