  • A virgin boy or girl is, according to the traditional understanding of the term, a person that was never vaginally penetrated (girl) or never did penetrate a girl vaginally (boy).

    So far, so good.

Now, I would like to differentiate this term to something slightly different, more in line with the term used under the reply B.

While it is true that according to Merriam-Webster, a virgin is defined as:

a person who has not had sexual intercourse.

I would like to broaden this strict term of virgin to something more like

"a person (female) that never experienced vaginal penetration, oral sex or performed a hand job on a male where ejaculation ensued" or

"a person (male) that never penetrated a girl vaginally or had his penis stimulated orally or manually with ensuing ejaculation"

The reason I broaden the term of "virgin" is because nowadays, many people view sexual intimacy to include those other sexual activities.

It is one thing to get an ejaculation (male) or orgasm (female) and to provoke one on the opposite sex by manual/oral manipulations. Girls are capable of getting an orgasm just by clitoridal stimulation, thus not experiencing vaginal penetration.

Now, this is solely my point of view and based on my perception of the term virgin.

  • A virgin, according to the dictionary, is a person who has never had sexual intercourse. That means penetrative vaginal sex. Even if a girl has done anal before, she’s far from pure but she’s still technically a virgin.

  • Someone who has not had vaginal sex...

A person who had other types of sexual acts are a virgin... but not innocent!

  • Penetrative sex makes you not a virgin. So anal and vaginal. I don’t count oral as making you not a virgin anymore

    • Ok, that is what Ms @LesbianBusinessWoman said too so it must be right :)

  • They never have anal or vaginsl sex

    • Oral is ok?

    • Yep for sure

  • Honestly I think B is the right answer but I also think it depends on consent! So many girls and guys are being “forced” to admit having lost their virginity because they were raped. When really some of them know NOTHING about sex or how enjoyable it can be because all they have experienced is abuse. They deserv a clean slate and to be able to say I had this bad thing happen and so I am terrified! But I so want to be eased in to this pleasure just like everyone else.

  • never had anal, vaginal or maybe oral too...
but majority thinks never experiencing vaginal

  • Yeah it’s the first time you have vaginal sex

  • A virgin is someone who's never had sex — but it's not quite as simple as it seems. That's because sex means different things to different people, so virginity can mean different things, too. A lot of people think that having penis-in-vagina sex for the first time is how you lose your virginity.

  • Other, while I consider having PIV as the only true way lose of virginity, I don't consider other types of sexual activities as okay, and a girl who done any sexual activity is not really innocent even if she is still an technical virgin.

  • I voted A.

  • For me it's until you have had sex, for my girlfriend it's until you find the right person.
She has had more experience than me, but made me a long talk about how her exes don't count and I had to consider her a virgin.
