I am never this aroused by women my own age.
As stated earlier, the attraction is not only physical but also emotionally and personality wise as well. Older women to me are more confident, and I find that to be extremely sexy. Furthermore they seem more nurturing and less judgmental, traits which I am extremely attracted to. Perhaps most of all, they remind me of my mother who is in her 30s, my mother whom I am extremely close to and love with all of my heart. Make no mistake, I am *not* attracted to her, although she is an extremely attractive woman, but women who are older like her bring me comfort, and I think this plays a role in why I like older women so much.
Is this normal? Is it normal to be attracted to older women or am I just weird? Furthermore, realistically, can such a relationship work out in the real world? Older women, do you like it when guys like me are so irrationally attracted to you?

I think he believes he has a better chance with older woman based on his selling stick for woman. This is the type of guy who main selling point for woman to be with him is he can PROVIDE for them and as we all know women in this age range and older tend to prefer provider qualities a lot more. So logically it would make sense for him to want to go for an age group who now values him a lot.

Instinctively you are aware that you have no chance with women in their prime age (teens -early 20's) and so have opted to go for older woman who standards are lower and more desperate as a coping mechanism for not getting women in their prime age.
It's not different from a guy instinctively finding hot women not as attractive as average girls because he knows deep down he can't attract hot girl or say a guy losing attraction for a girl who rejected him.

You do understand that a woman in her prime is 40 right? Most people live to be 80 plus. The prime of your life is in the middle, not at the beginning when your female body doesn't even know how to climax yet🙄
@MelG23 No despite media saying otherwise a woman's prime is not in her 40's. Logically it makes no sense. Why would a woman's prime correlate with the time period when she is barely fertile and has little to no eggs left. A woman by age 30 has lost 90% of the eggs she was born with.
This day and age, that doesn't matter. Most women marry at 29 and start families in their 30s. Celebrities these days can start having children in their early 40s no problem, and they are doing it. We are not living with the limitations we had 100 years ago. Also, number of eggs don't matter. Women's fertility peaks between the ages of 23 and 31. Which means if you are using fertility, rather than life expectancy, as a measure of attractiveness, then this age range would be your definition of a woman's prime. I am basing mine on life expectancy.
@MelG23 Doesn't matter if woman marry at 29 or 30. Biology still stands that woman are at their most fertile in their 20's. Hence why there is a term baby rabies where many woman who didn't want kids or had no drive for wanting them suddenly want a baby and this usually happen around late 20's because your body is telling you that your running out of eggs.

As we get older our gametes undergo degradation Studies show female gamete has more influence on a child developing congenital defect than men, in fact a woman chance of giving birth to down syndrome infant increases each year past 30.
Men instinctively want healthy, children hence why men go for young woman. Woman want men who can provide for them and their children as well as protect them. hence, why we see woman liking money, height, and men with status.
A female's fertility is actually lower in her teens and highest between 23-31. You said prime was teen to 20. I say that is TOO YOUNG to be a woman's prime as she is just starting life. Your brain doesn't even stop growing until age 22. Whatever, when you get older, you'll understand what attractiveness really is.
