Why are little kids having sex or doing sexual things?

im 16 & lost my virginity at 14. when i look back at it i regret it, i thought i was in love. but my 12 year old sister just came to me telling me she got fingered by a 14 year old. i was disgusted. i did lose my virginity at a young age but this boy touching my sister when she's this young made my stomach turn upside down. it's obvious the boy used her for it. i can't really tell her what to do but i told her she should wait for that stuff until she's in love. not with a boy that's two years older than she wasn't even dating. although im not sure how you could have a relationship when you're 12. but why are kids now a days just doing this? how do i talk to my sister to get her to wait. tell her she has no business doing that at this age.

Because they're learning about things a lot earlier. With you, if she's seen you do sexual things or knows you have or currently do do sexual things she's probably wondering what its like so she wanted to try it. There's really nothing you can do or some. Think about it, if you were her age would you listen to anyone? Do you at your current age? haha she's mostly likely going to continue to do it. Dont judge her or scold her. Just talk to her about. Let her know she should wait for someone special because it'll make the experience better (Which is normally bullshit but she doesn't know that) Let her know if she's going to do that stuff your there to give her advice on how to do it the right safe way. If you scold her she's still going to do it she's just not going to come to you anymore. Which in turn could cause her to do something stupid. Unprotected sex for example

I think its often the because of poor communication with parents, peer pressure and lack of education.

If parents sat their kids down and chatted about sex and love, rather than saying "dont do it" or not talking about it at all, maybe kids would be better equipped to deal with their sexuality cleverly.

Because parents tell you not to. They are thinking in our heads "what could possibly be wrong with doing it?" And once they've done it they want to do it again. Not because they wanna go against their parents. Because It felt good.
