Personally, I DGAF about nude photos. But I'd prefer to look at the face of the woman I was with than anyone else's. I'm rather happy just to get clothed pictures from my girlfriends. Best one was one who used to send me a picture of her blowing a kiss every night before she went to bed.
There's too much skin being shown nowadays anyway. When I was a kid, the cutest girl I knew wore bib overalls all the time. I think it's something psychological. The nudes of someone they know and have a romantic interest in probably feel more intimate than the nudes of some posing stranger on the internet, because your nudes feel real.
It's probably also an ego thing; those pornstar nudes aren't exclusive or unique, anyone can see them. Your nudes however are send to him and him alone and you send them because you wanted him specifically to have them.
Those are my hypotheses at least - guys, please let me know if I'm right.
as a girl I can honestly say I don't know... I personally hate receiving and I never send them... I feel they are very unpersonal and not cute.
sharing nudes with a special one is like having sex but online. It's a sexual/romantic connection. They don't want a strangers nudes, they want the nudes of someone they love.

It's the mental aspect of it. Knowing who the person is in the picture is a turn on, the fact that you like the guy enough to give him the pictures is a turn on, the fact that you'd take pictures like that is a turn on, etc. Getting pictures from a girl you like is way better.
