Why do many girls like black guys more nowadays?

As a mixed race guy I think it's great to see. Why do you think it's more common in 2014? How are black guys different than white guys?

because they want to either fit in or be seen as superior among other females in society.

you see throughout time women always had this illusion that if they engage into a relationship with a man who is bad, intimidating, reckless, aggressive etc and they then obtain the ability to tames and change that "bad man" later that society will praise her and see her as a "superior" being among other females. lets not forget that women do love competition after all, so they always have the goal that if they have this "bad man" under their spell that it will grant them full and anytime access to causing terror among other males who approach her and making other females around her jealous and envious

anyways getting to the point and getting back to why many women go after black men is because they find all these "bad man" traits in them. you see unfortunately our ignorant society still sees and labels black men as thugs, delinquents, drama kings etc while ignoring the other black men who were once successful like Martin Luther King, Michael Jordan, etv. so when they see a black man they automatically say to themselves...

"oh he's blacks! he must be a thug. if i make him mines he will beat the shit of, shoot or stab any loser that approaches or disrespects me"

also...

"oh he's blacks! he must be a thug. if i makes him mines all the women around me are gonna hate and envy me for having him, etc"

so yea, of course i'm not saying that i am right but from my experiences and walks of life that is how it seems to me most of the time.

Simply put, it's more socially acceptable than it used to be. So relationships that would of happened despite society are happening. It's only in more Caucasian dominated areas that this guy's statement would have any truth. Or if the girls father is racist against blacks, then there would be an element of it. But now a days, it's much more acceptable for these relationships from the population at large.

@rjroy3 you must not be from america but around here where i'm from the majority of women who are only open to black men do go after them for these things and you can see it in them from a mile away. as much as i hate to use celebrities as an example look at Kim Kardashian. why do you think she has always been open to black men who are either athletic or rappers, etc. speaking of Kim Kardashian lets not forget that a lot of stupid women of today's generation idolize her and would do anything to be like her. maybe this also could be another factor why women dig black men now a days

I'm from Virginia. And it's not that I don't think some girls do that (there are a lot of immature women out there), the majority aren't that way. That is a poor example because rapping is a black dominant genre and basketball and football players are often football players.

As a black man who's had his fair share of the rainbow I can give you my best answer. It's the culture. Women like men. And although men are born everywhere they tend to become men when faced with adversity. What's a bigger adversity than living in a world that for hundreds of years treated your ancestors like objects and worked them to death. Being a black guy as you grow up you see this you feel this and you engrained this into your soul. Then you're told to go out there get a job and work as if it doesn't enrage you. You learn to bury it. You learn to cover it. You learn to surpass it and live. And we all do it differently. Some black men rebel against the mainstream culture accepting only their own that share in their thoughts and feeling others assimilate and learn to walk within a culture that makes them feel alienated and lastly some accept it and decide to live with freedom in whatever way they wish. Women notice it. Nothing more to it. Or simply put most black men don't give a fuck.

And for why it's more common in 2014 as time goes on black men have been seen as more and more equal to other men and the stigma of dating black men is diminishing. But that's just my guess.

It's been common from way before that, which is why my generation and below have SO many mixed people who have black dad and white mom.
The generation above me, mixed kids were more rare, but mine and below... mixed kids are everywhere!

Mentioning or not mentioning dont think it would have changed much. Usually when people ask questions like this its usually about the ethnic group that they are apart of. Its just strange seeing someone not apart of that ethnic group say something like this.
