It's a site about sex, dating, and the opposite sex. It's kind of understandable. I've been on GaG for years and never sought a hookup from here until about the last year. So I can say I've definitely looked for it before, yeah.
The simple answer is people are idiots and desperate. They see the name and think it means guys ask girls out on a date. Why anyone thinks an international site is a good place to find a local partner, especially when you're an anon with broken English is beyond me
If it has worked and been helpful to some then great! I just didn't think that this was the place.
