Why do some people think homosexuality is normal?

There are some rules of the world and the universe
Can the sun be born from the west?
Can you breathe in the water?
Can a lion give birth to a cat?
Can a monkey and a gazelle do sex?
Sex is basically for breeding
There are rules of the universe, why not accept it? it's ridiculous to lie to make someone happy
It is not natural and is completely perverse
We shouldn't exclude homosexuals, but we shouldn't support them, we have to help them, and we need to tell them it's not natural.

  • I think it's okay you're disagreeing with someone's lifestyle and decisions they makes in life, but claiming something is unnatural won't always work. It's a really weak argument.

    "Natural" doesn't always mean "positive", "negative" etc. Both diseases caused by viruses or bacteria, natural disasters, violent animals and so on are natural. That means it's not man made, just occurs in the nature by itself and there's science backing it up. That doesn't mean you've to like or dislike these things. Cancer for instance kills a lot of people and that makes many upset, but does that mean it's unnatural? No.

    When it comes to the word "normal" we can use it in two ways. We can use it in how common something is and which norms there's in the society. By nature heterosexuality is way more common; a majority and therefor more "normal" in that way. No on is denying that. When it comes to social norms in the different cultures it depends from culture to culture. In some cultures it's equally accepted as straight relationships and in other's it's not. Norms is all about exceptions and what's considered right or wrong in a society.

    When most people supporting the gay-community says it's "normal" they means it's natural as in occurring naturally by itself without human intervention and that's socially accepted in their culture.

    Homosexuality may be beneficial in some ways scientists arguments. It may control the population growth so we're less likely to be overpopulated and there's enough resources for the people in the society to survive. When homosexuals choose a homosexual relationship, they won't get biological children and therefor it would less people in the world. In addition they can take care of orphans other people doesn't want. In an overcrowded world there's difficult to give every orphans parents and every poor people food.

    If I had to choose between a disease killing a lot of people to prevent overpopulation and homosexuality, I'd rather choose the latter since the first option would make more people suffer. I may simplify things a bit, but I hopes you gets my point.

  • The thing is that it may not be physically natural but it also happens that people fall inlove with someone of the same gender. How wpuld you feel if someone told you its wrong to be with someone you love? There is no "fix" for love

  • Well God calls it an abomination because he didn't create 2 different sexes for nothing. If he thought it was okay he probably would have created a 3rd sex that a man and woman could both couple with.

  • Wow!!! I'm not sure where to start but I'll open with the fact that these laws are based in physics and it's application to life. Sex is NOT basically for breeding. It's a necessary element in it but it's much more important as an expression of love and closeness.

    Homosexuals are born that way. It's not a sin, crime, disease, or abnormality. It's just different and harmless to you. So what's your issue?

    Maybe the word you are looking for is "preference". Most people do not prefer homosexuality.

    I, for one, definitely do not prefer it. And I think it is wrong. But unlike you, I don't think it is a sin that is somehow worse than disrespecting your mother. Or stealing something from someone.
