They complain about being sexualised, because they either get attention from guys they don't like, or not taken seriously by guys they do like... It is not because they are being sexualised, it is because they are dancing around the subject that they do not want to talk about, in fear of being slut-shamed, or being considered vain. They are almost back-pedalling, and using that as a cop-out, because they are in denial about being superficial. It is almost impossible to claim ignorance in sexualising themselves, because it is pretty obvious that they are doing so.
All I have to say to those women about it, is that if you are going to wear those things, expect to not be taken seriously, and just be honest... Say that you are trying to attract a muscular guy with lots of money and a big dick, not someone worthwhile in the long run.

Every woman wants to feel sexy and pretty, that doesn't make them superficial. There is a huge difference between recieving a compliment and not being treated like a human being. I personally dont like muscular guys, or big dicks, but thats a preference. Everyone has preferences, I just happen to prefer men who fall within the average. Id be fine if a guy called me beautiful, but to say something like "how tight is your little asshole?" (Which is a comment i actually recieved on here and i don't even post any pictures of my body) is disgusting and is not a compliment.

@Gianna17 I understand, but this 'wanting to feel sexy' thing goes WAY too far, and those women that take it too far are the ones that complain that they aren't being taken seriously...

Sex is not an unnatural or shameful thing. You can appreciate a woman's beauty without being creepy or weird about it. And I've noticed plenty of women who dont dress provocatively being treated that way. I know someone who dresses in 1940's style (actual 1940's not pinup, like she wears skirts that go past the knee) and she gets catcalled all the time. If a guy thinks im pretty then i would be flattered, but the truth is i dont even show much skin and i experience the same treatment.

I dont care what a woman is wearing, there is never an excuse to dehumanize someone.

@Gianna17 Yes, but wearing those things is a GUARANTEE that you will be shamed... I am not shaming anyone for wearing those things, but what I am shaming, is those people who do choose to wear those provocative outfits, and then complain about being objectified... Would you think that it would stupid for me to complain about being written up at work, when I did something unethical/illegal? You'd think I am being idiotic. Same thing goes for that, with obvious exceptions.

Absolutely not. It's men's fault that women keep CHOOSING to post ass pics and other scantily clad photos online. Just blame men. It's easier than trying to get a female to accept responsibility for her own choices. ;)

Being sexual and being treated like an object should be two separate things - I think that’s the message.
I fucking love pics of hot, ripped shirtless men. I love having sex with hot men. That doesn’t mean I need to degrade them - call them names or touch them against their will or penetrate them when they don’t want it or yell out graphic things that I want to do to them.
We have this idea that sex is amazing and bad and nasty and sinful and shameful and so desirable and fuck those sluts who arouse people we can’t help but want to slap them around for making us feel horny.
it’s fucked.

Humans are naturally sexual.
Sex isn’t naturally violent, one sided or shameful. We as a society are toxic about it.
