If this man is actually messing with magic, you do not want to hang around him. Improper spell, hex usage, and attempting to summon/invoke spirits can lead to house hauntings and all sorts of unexplainable phenomenon.

I maybe a Christian, but much of how spirits work is surprisingly not so different compared to a pagan's belief in many aspects.
