Kicked in the nuts - Pain/Sterility?

Question

He left the door open and my dog ran off, and denied it when I accused him. In anger I used a move I learnt at a class teaching women to fight men once, and kneed him between the legs. Although I didn't use much strength, it seemed to hurt him badly. I know it is a sensitive area, but he was really pushing my buttons and I was in a bad mood. 
Could I have made him sterile? He doubled up on the ground and had to be rushed to the ER, crying. 
And why are hits to the testicles so painful?

What a great start to the new year. Why on earth would you do that? You should be ashamed of yourself. Assaulting him. Just because you think you hit him lightly doesn't mean it hurts or it affected him, which it clearly did. You better apologize because what you did affected his whole life in terms of health. So you get mad and can't control yourself so you resort to violence? How would you feel if your bf kicked you in your area and you were bleeding and had to go to the ER? Out yourself in his shoes and think how you would feel? You made a big deal and a situation over nothing. You should be thankful he is still with you. I would have left you and filed for assault then and there. It's painful to get hit in the testicles because of things called nerves. Didn't you take a biology or health course? This is why there are guys that hit girls and you have criminals. I have no pity if you get hit even though it's not right. Your (lack of) intelligence of the matter says a lot. You communicate in a relationship. Say it together boys and girls, communicate. You took physical violence instead of communicating. Imagine if men started to hit women when they didn't do what they were told. I am not going to get myself worked up over this. I hope you learned a valuable lesson. Happy New Year

Well yes, it is quite possible that you've made him sterile. As for why the hits to the crotch are so painful is because the abundance of nerve endings that make it possible for the penis to get erect in the first place. The muscle tissue that makes up a human penis is the most vulnerable when in an erect state of course, but even if not, a direct hit there will still register quite sharply. It sort of the same thing when you rip out someones fingernail, for example, while the damage is not great, the abundance of nerves endings in the finger, due to their necessity for functioning as they do, makes it hurt a lot.

You could have seriously hurt him, yes. I don't know about sterile, but still. I think It's a bit unfair to use such a sensitive area simply because you're angry... You should control your anger, you can't go around kicking guys in the nuts :/ Self-denfense is a completely different matter though, but this is obviously not the case. I can't say for sure if he's seriously hurt. We weren't there, we can't know that. All I know is that testicles are very fragile and easily hurt. You'll have to wait for his return from the ER. Did you apologized before he left?

As for why hits to the testicles are sensitive, it could be because they're external, full of nerves yet without any serious protection. I know rats can "put" their testicles inside themselves before a fight so that they don't get hurt there ^^

There are better ways to control your anger than turning to violence and assaulting somebody like that. There was no good reason to kick him like that.

Injury to the testicles can cause a number of problems, and it's really bad, can lead to sterility/infertility, rupture, or testicular torsion.

You know what I don't care if your my girlfriend or not, getting angry and kicking a guy in the balls is never alright or acceptable behavior I want you to know something not only could have out you in jail for domestic violence, and or assault and battery, if he suffered permanent injury, sustainable injuries you could be looking at restitution you could be be taken to court and sued royally because not only would the judge convict you for pain and suffering, and all his hospital bills, but more then likely you be sued for liability for his not being able to possibly father a child and your looking at hundreds of thousand of dollars in punitive damages you would be forced to pay!! I would highly advise you to control your anger resorting to physical violence which  can permanently damage a persons reproductive system is HUGE LIABILITY TO YOU!! Do not kick guys in the balls unless your life is in jeopardy and stop acting like a complete idiot!!

How would you like being kicked in the womb and possibly ruining your chances of ever having kids? imagine that but far more painful, the most painful thing you could ever imagine infact. Then yeh thats it.

What you did was inexcusable and the ONLY time I would ever puch someones lights out, dont care who it is, is if they hit me there on purpose (or tried to gouge my eyes, that and my balls).
Sorry to say this but apart from potentially damaging him permanently you have caused far more problems for youself in the long run too. Bad bad move

Lol poor guy. I haven't been hit there for a long time but when I got hit there it was bad. It's like internal organs with no fatty padding or muscles covering it. If you had your kidneys or ovaries dangling out in a sac and someone kicked them I think it would hurt as well. Though I think we men should be tough about it.
