I know there are many reasons why some people don't like porn even though the majority of both guys and girls watch it, or have watched it, according to dozens of surveys. I don't want to focus on all the reasons, but for this post, only the most predominant one that I have seen over and over again.

If you had a magic wand or were writing or producing a porn film yourself and were going to show EVERYTHING THAT "IS" REALISTIC, exactly want would you show to make it more realistic?

Put even another way could be, what exactly are they doing in porn that is not done in real sex?

Could it be that those that say it is not realistic are just those that have never done anything outside of vanilla sex, so they are looking at it from the perspective that if they aren't doing it so no one else is either?

I think you made a fair point about action movies. Yes, it's fiction. It's fantasy. It's fun. Yes, a lot of people get the same feeling after watching porn that they get after watching a kung-fu movie. "I want to do that. I can do that." And you can't. It's fiction. That's not a reason to ban it, though I can't begrudge anyone their criticism. We are all entitled to our opinions. Still, not everything can be made for you, specifically. I think it depends on what the individual watches on porn.
There's many videos where the guy lasts long long times and both always cum and enjoy it, where as in reality I see a lot of guys barely making it past 2 minutes or the girl not finishing. Both men and women who are inexperienced therefore think it's going to last long and be great.

You said it best, Action movies aren't realistic. Hell Romance movies are rarely realistic. They are always full of these grand romantic gestures by the ex or by a guy going after the girl of his dreams. We call that stalking in real life.

I don't watch porn nor like it, but the argument I hear others make is that the bodies in porn are unrealistic for 99% of people. Women who have gotten many surgeries and men who are in the top 0.10% of dick size, like 9 and 10 inches or more. I perfectly get WHY some people dislike these body types, but I also get that mainstream porn isn't meant to be realistic. But the ones who are against the body types, say they like "amateur porn" better because it's easier to picture themselves doing these acts. I think you reached a bit, when people say that porn is unrealistic they are basically saying that we live in a time where porn has become so normalized that it's starting to become that standard when it shouldn't be like some examples are dick size right? as we see men in porn tend to have larger penis size than average, so no it gets ingrain to peoples mind, men start to think "if I don't have a penis that size then I won't be able to satisfy women" and they start to feel less, and then women start thinking that they need men that only have 6 inches + (hence why nowadays people always ask "does size matter"). Another example for women is when women in porn allow themselves to get put through anything when it comes to sex, therefore now you have men that will start doing things they saw in porn in which it might make the girl feel uncomfortable, but since they saw in porn they think its normal, and that also translates to women where they might feel like they need to let themselves go through that and let the man do whatever since its a standard in porn despite if they feel uncomfortable. So that's what people mean when they say porn is unrealistic because it is starting to become the standard and the norm for people when it shouldn't be the expectations. But of course, that is what happens when younger people watch porn, it's hard to differentiate what's real and what isn't real. I actually think that was a problem in the early 2000's when the porn industry went online and the world changed perspectives. But today most young adults know that porn is in fact a performance and know better than to expect something similar in their sex lives.

Probably the first thing you need to establish is what is porn?

How are you even defining that?

Because people define it in all sorts of different ways, especially with people with strong religious views etc.

Sex has been almost entirely censored out of everything main stream since the very beginning of modern media, things have become increasingly more relaxed in perhaps the last 30 years or so and I personally think that is a good and healthy thing.

I dont personally consume much in the way of XXX, media designed specifically to graphically show sexual acts (Perhaps as much in my entire life as a heavy user would consume in a day?) but I do like to see, sex and the natural human form in context where appropriate in film and tv etc, such as you would find in GoT or the gladiator series, blood and sand etc.

I wouldn't tell someone else what choices they must make for themselves though, because I am an anarchist but that is a problem which applies to a great many things and I think it would be very helpful to society if everyone understood that they dont get to make choices for other people.

The problem which remains however, as with all film etc is controlling or moderating who sees it and being advised ahead of time as to the content etc.

Whatever you make you have to assume is going to fall into the hands of children, its pretty much inevitable so I certainly undersand why there are controls and you also have to appreciate how fucking messed up people are, I have no doubt that there are for example snuff films being shown right now in the dark web which are entirely real.

Not an easy subject. Most of the scenes are indeed acted, but for those who want something genuine, I can tell you there is, even if only in a very small percentage. I think it can be a mixed bag.
On the positive side
It can help produce creativity for ones sexual appetites. So, it can help people discover what intrigues them.
But on the negative side
It could create situations where people expect things out of sex that are unrealistic. Not necessarily because it can't be done, but because it requires more preparation that porn typically allows to be seen.

Also, it can produce expectations on people that can be uncomfortable.
For example, its unlikely Anal Sex would be as common place without it.
Though I am certain it is a positive thing to many women, it also creates a struggle with others who have no interest in trying it.
Now plenty of women will have to accept that its likely a man might ask it of them, or try to push them into it.. assuming its something to be expected.

Or for example, how lesbian porn is by far the most popular category (especially among women). Though its clearly NOT a negative thing to be a Lesbian... its obvious that society does put pressure on women to experiment to some degree.
Its likely why you meet TONS of LGBTQ women, and those who are open to experiment. Some might argue its more difficult to find a completely straight woman.. than to run into a girl who has had experiences with other women.
