So I'm super curious as to what mythical or legendary creatures you guys have from your countries, comment the names below and a little somethin somethin about em and where you're from. I'll go first

I'm from Australia and one of the weirdest mythological creatures we have is called the Yara-ma-yha-who that would just swallow a human whole and after a few hours it'd regurgitate you and if you were awake when you came back up you might be able to get away if not it'd swallow you again and then repeat that multiple times until your skin started to turn red and and your teeth would fall out and you'd start to turn into one of them 🙂

Which honestly is kinda gross, like yea I could handle it if it just ate me but no this mf spews you back up and eats you again and does it multiple times which is just gross 😂

In my family, there's a spirit some of my ancestors from my Armenian side have seen which appears as a roughly 7 foot tall woman with pale blonde hair dressed in a white gown. She shows up in my great grandmother's dreams, there were stories about my ancestors from back in Armenia interacting with her and I have seen her as a sort of mirage. She usually has something reassuring to say but always points my mind back in the right direction.

I see her with other spirits sometimes, but she presents herself the clearest and most tangeable in terms of what she has to say.

Honestly same I try and find every kinda show or movie that has shit like that in it, if you haven't already seen it you might like Lost Girl it's so good and has so many different types of creatures in and it's showing more of the creature side then just your usual "I'm a human and I hunt monsters rah rah rah" kinda stuff yk, I actually LOVE that show it's so good I've seen it so many times and I'm dying to watch it again
