Are women still single by age 35 "damaged goods"?

Just want to know why people think they have a right to higher expectations than they deserve. If you still single in your 30's banging everything but the front door, why do you think a woman at any age wants that for a husband?

31 66I'm 31 everyone I hung around is pretty much married myself included at this point. We got guys that said 10 years ago they would never be tied down to 1 girl married now. You can call it what you want but at this point in life it is curious to see people still trying to have sex with anyone they can. Just my point of view though.

Many times I wanna think they would rather have or keep a lifestyle for a while and like everything once it becomes that they are going to be better at playing that role when they do try they fail cause that is all they know or are use to. i agree with that but what i also wanna mention, since we had some discussions touching the topic in the past: just cause someone consciously rationalizes the pros and cons of a particular partner doesn't mean they consider them objects, cause everyone has got to do that in order to figure out if a partner is good for them or not and if a relationship can work. people being naive not doing that, ignoring the factors that lead to a sustainable relationship, will end up unhappy or even abused till they finally accept that this has to be done.
I don't think he was insinuating that a single woman in her 30s was riding the proverbial cock carousel and that's why she's still single. I think it's more like if she hasn't been able to get a guy to commit to her for whatever reason. I think the male analogue would be if a single guy in his 30s hasn't been able to find a partner, is he damaged goods. Some of those guys would be "banging everything but the front door" and don't want to commit but at the same time some of those guys can't even bang the front door. Would those guys be considered "damaged goods"? Some women might say yes, but like I said in my response to the original question, age doesn't define whether someone's damaged.
But that's also assuming they couldn't get someone to commit, and that's not always the case... Some people put all that on hold to establish a career, etc... I generally agree, but there's a blurry line separating "standards" from "preferences". Some women want to date a tall guy even though they're short, some women want a rich guy even though they only make $50k, some girls want a guy with a car even though they can't drive themselves, some guys want a girl who cooks even though they don't know how, some want a chaste girl even though they've slept with the neighbourhood. A lot of people will call these unfair "standards", others "preferences" but really it's just semantics.

From my experience, dudes who are still single after age of 35 usually have issues of their own. Not saying all men after 35 have issues, but its not uncommon to encounter one with issues. So I just advise ladies to be a bit more cautious when dating men after 35. If you do end up encountering an old guy with issues, do not be surprised. This type of stuff should be expected.
Usually these are the most common reasons why a guy may still be single after 35:
- too picky
- man whore when he was young
- doesn't have the right priorities (focuses more on physical attraction than emotional connection)
- never has time to date (dating was never a priority
But I would say that dating history and number of exes matter way more. If you meet a guy with a long chain of exes , I would advise you to beware.
