It depends on what you think a strip club is for. If you are smart enough to understand that a strip club is a TEASE and nothing more, and view it as pure entertainment, then all that's left is to decide if whatever you choose to spend is worth that for the entertainment.

If, on the other hand, you are dumb enough to believe that a strip club is for having sex or picking up hot girls, then you are likely to grossly overspend and have nothing to show for your money, so of course you're going to think it's a waste of money.

The last time I went to a strip club, I got about 4 hours of entertainment, including 2 lapdances for my girlfriend and 2 free ones for myself, plus two strippers talking to us for about an hour each, and I spend less than $50.

Meanwhile, I saw a guy spend at LEAST $500 on one girl, because he wanted to bang her and/or date her, and as soon as he was out of money, she was on to another guy without another thought. And I got the impression that the guy did this on a regular basis, the poor dumb bastard.

I've been friends with former and (then) current strippers, and I know that strippers generally see men as a wallet with legs and not much more - but lots of guys don't get that at all somehow.

I honestly don't understand the concept of strippers. Like why? I know i sound like "hurr durr a girl complaining about strippers hurr" but i'd consider doing stripping if nobody knew about it because guys throw money at them for nothing. But that doesn't mean its not dumb like, honestly its literally paying a girl to build you up with no release what-so-ever

While you are absolutely right, plenty of guys deceieve themselves into believing that, somehow, if they buy enough lap dances or buy her a drink or something, that somehow he's going to get a BJ or bang her out back or something. It almost never happens, but that doesn't stop guys from spending their entire paycheck because they BELIEVE! LOL. But to be fair, strippers DO work for the money - though it's a LOT of money. The biggest thing they have to do to make a ton of money is to make the guy believe that she's enthusiastic about HIM - and if he believes it, he's likely to pay and keep paying. If you can do that with guys you have no interest in, you too could make enough money to pay off a house in a year or two. But it's harder work than you might think, and it's VERY easy to get caught up in the stripper lifestyle where you party and shop whenever you aren't at work so that, after 5 years and being worn out, the only thing you have to show for it is 60 G-strings and 10 pairs of stripper heels. The smart girls own houses and nice cars outright - but the smart ones are the exception, not the rule.

It's a form of entertainment to people who enjoy it. Same as football, movies, theme parks, poker, sewing, and many other things. Only thing is that strippers are seen as a lower form of entertainment.
But as far as I'm concerned, to call one thing you pay for and get entertainment from a waste of money is to call any form of entertainment that's not 100% free as a waste of money. :3

It's really up to the individual. I produce burlesque shows. I think they are totally worth it, but it's not like pole dancers in a club.

Yeah, why tf would you pay money to see a girl dance? in my opinion strippers hold as much purpose as a prostitutes, escorts, and other sex workers. They really are only worth it if you absolutely need to spend money to get female attention.
