Most guys dont want to date a woman who is raising another guys kid. Guys with lots of options won't typically want to commit to a single mom so she can't easily attract the same guys she was able to prior to being a single mom. Unless maybe its just for sex, but for commited relationships those guys won't typically be interested in her.
Women in general tend to lower standards for relationship, regardless of whether or not they are simgle moms. Women hookup with men who are equally as attractive or better and often settle down with men who are less attractive than she is AND less attractive than the men she hooked up with.
While men often LOWER their standards on looks for casual sex, women can "play out of their league".
I don't know if their "standards drop" so much as they become far less picky (some might view this as the same thing but I don't). Having a child forces them to not be so self absorbed anymore and they are forced to thing about others first usually (being their child). They are also likely older and having had a child also may "feel" less attractive. Plus it's true, a lot of guys don't want to date single mothers so they have to be less picky really (they at least have to consider a guy that's interested more then maybe they had to before because another might be a long time coming).
Because they're used and damaged goods. So she can't be picky. Damn few guys want to date single mothers for numerous reasons. And we're not selfish or wrong.

The standards of single mothers 'drop' because the number of guys who are on the same level as them in terms of attractiveness and are still interested in pursuing them after they have children, drops.
She's not a 9, more like a 6 or 7.
They have lower physical standard cause there's a lot less men who are willing to date a woman who had a child (and that's totally logic).
Hot guys who can find women without children with ease will do exactly that.

Because most men just don't want to date single moms. Too much drama, and the child's dad usually gets involved and it gets messy.
Physical appearance matters much less the older you get. More younger and attractive men are less likely to settle. When it comes down to it, a single mom is gonna want a responsible and financially stable partner that can help raise her child.
Single moms don't care about looks, when they have so many important things to think about.
For ever kid she has drops her attractiveness. Plus including baby fathers same deal. Men do not want other men’s baggage. Let’s put it this way. If you had to put out your garbage every Tuesday plus all your neighbours every Tuesday, you’d be annoyed do this. I’m not saying kids are garbage but it is the unwanted labor of having to take care of a woman and he kids from other men. That involves money and security which men are tired of doing.
Because they need someone who can provide them with money and delegate responsibilities to, because raising a kid alone is hell. In fact, it's hell even with just two people. I wonder how we ever survived as a species.
Because a guy that doesn't have as many options based on his looks is more likely to stick around. And because she is still really hot, it's pretty easy for her to get a guy that will help her. Assuming she's not a horrible human being. Most guys she used to date either aren't ready to settle down, don't want to or are not capable of being a good provider.
For most guys, it is a major negative, if a girl has a child. For virtually no guys, is it a positive.
They prefer responsible men over good looking guys.
It like others stated usually most men isn't interested in single mom because they fear they would become a step father to this child. In order for the single moms to have any chance of finding a good guy, they tend to lower their standards to get seen as desirable in the dating market, also she is starting to realize there are far more important things instead of a romantic relationship like her new child she has to raise on her own.
