Yes. It was awkward as it usually is for the first time. It is exciting but you don’t really know what your are doing or what to expect. Kind of a nervous excited, I guess. It wasn’t bad but certainly not like intimacy now for me.

That is mostly because I’m with a man that I love very much and will marry this year. The emotional connection makes it way more pleasurable. That is something I have found that I need and the reason I don’t do one night stands or hookups. Have to have that emotional part.

I find that even first time with a new partner is awkward and clumsy. You need a few times to really get a rhythm and know what each other likes and dislikes. Typically, that isn’t something discussed because first times with a new person are largely in the moment decisions.

That isn’t to say they can’t be good but some “practice” makes it all the more better going forward.
