Do guys actually understand bra sizes?

Yeah, and the different manufacturers say they are all the same, 34B, but they don't fit the same! Every company is a little different!
One company has "Half-Cup" sizes! What about women that have one, slightly larger than the other? Quite common, I hear.
I Love knowing what feels comfortable, for any woman I am with!
Yeah, I have been with her, sneaking into the dressing rooms, when she wants me to, and saying I picked the wrong size, as it didn't fit her, like some other brand!
Same with panties, and dresses!! Women's clothes sizes are so FKCED UP!!
Then, some news thing comes out, saying 80% of women are wearing the WRONG bras!! How do you all know if what you are wearing is 'RIGHT" and what is "RIGHT"?

@mslivy Just women's clothing in general! I love the ladies I have been with, and LOVE shopping with them, because I can see them try on things, and look, well, WOW!! But so often they get frustrated because they are one size, with one manufacturer, and a totally different (sometimes bigger size, and maybe embarrassed?) size with another manufacturer, or designer. Honestly, I don't care if she is a 6, or 8, or whatever! I just love when she is comfortable, and feels good in what she wears! Why is it so confusing though? With guy's clothes, I know what size I am, and 95% of the time, it's right. Not that I mind seeing her trying things on, it's just the angst, and frustration, that she has to go a size up, with some, and that seems to influence her body image.

Breasts are a part of the female anatomy that I know shockingly little about. It's because I've never been a breast man. I have a vague understanding: A (flat), B (is for bigger), C-D (classical "perfection"), E (Tig-ol'-bitties). But mostly I think of it as nipple, areola, & the excess.

I do take some comfort in knowing that women frequently share part of my ignorance. Because so many of them discover that they "have been wearing the wrong cup-size" - and they are usually stocked by it. Granted, breasts can & do change sizes over time & that just complicates things for everyone.

As I said, I freely admit to not knowing bra sizes - which was the nature of the question. ;P You shouldn't get angry at a guy for honesty. I do know the clitoris & G-spot, though. The idea that A = very small, B = small, C = medium, D = large, DD = very large and anything bigger than DD is huge is completely false. All that the cup sizes indicate is the difference in inches between your underbust and bust measurements. Some people misinterpret this as being "your boobs project a certain amount of inches from your chest" but this is the wrong way to look at it - it's simply a difference in two measurements, the circumferance around your underbust and the circumference around your bust. D indicates a 4 inch difference, which is less than 2 inches per boob (roughly speaking). On a small frame, so for example the size 28D, D is very small. On a large frame, so for example a 40D, it will be bigger - still not huge by any means, but way bigger than a 28D. Band size is hugely important.

I know that the further down the alphabet doesn't mean they are bigger. I think lots of guys are under the perception that the further the letter, the larger the tits. I just go off visual and saw the cup size of the bra whenever women I have been with were topless.

@wittymilf Logically the letter suggests a bigger size, but it usually it depends on brands or the makers. For some brands DD is E and for some DDD is E or F. Considering thatDDD usually represents F cup size, 12DDD and 14E are ideally of the same size and what they call usually sister sizes.

There was a GaGer girl who used to be active here named @CheerGirl38139 who was very very good at explaining how bra sizes work. She would get really frustrated by all the guys (and even girls) who would refer to a C cup, for example, as if that had any valid meaning about breast volume in the absence of an accompanying band size. She explained sister sizes.
