  • Not sure if they are all from erotic dreams, I'd love to know for sure, can you be there?

  • It has nothing to do with dreams.
We get erections almost every morning almost all of our lives.
If a guy wakes up wet then he probably had an erotic dream.
Boners are a bonus and the source of no shame.

  • It's a normal bodily function. Even toddlers have that.

  • Not necessarily, it could also be that he really needs to pee and his penis is trying not to explode. Wet dreams are different, if we have a wet dream we pre cum we don't pee.
Every time I wake up with a boner and I pee, it goes down, period.

  • It just means you wake up with a stiff cock.

    • But what causes it? Why do you wake up aroused?

    • It just happens naturally for some reason.

  • No it’s ha hormone cycle thing

  • The correct term is nocturnal penile tumescence or NPT for short. And the answer is no. It's actually a long explanation but it is caused by having healthy circulation and the parasympathetic nervous system which is active while you're asleep and helps your body digest, take care of waste and generally regulates body function. This is also the part of your nervous system involved in the various involuntary reactions associated with fight or flight responses, but it is also responsible for sexual function. Erections are an epiphenomenon of this being active during sleep and they occur several times per night and not just in the morning. All regardless of whether or not the dude was dreaming of sex.

  • No.
It’s a medical thing. Part of healthy blood pressure and REM.

  • From what I understand morning wood is just blood flow to the penis which is normal and not sexual. It’s a way to keep the organ healthy. A function of the body that is not really linked to sexual arousal.

  • Yes we are do and some are very erotic.

    • The dreams make us hard.

  • Yeah mostly is on our dreams but morning wood is something just happens that we can't really control it just the blood needs somewhere to go when we lay down.

  • Your testosterone level is at its highest in the morning after you wake up. It is highest immediately after waking up from rapid eye movement (REM) sleep stage. The increase in this hormone alone may be enough to cause an erection, even in the absence of any physical stimulation. As men get older, usually between ages 40 and 50, natural testosterone levels begin to fall. As this level decreases, episodes of NPT may decrease as well.

  • Nope. Morning wood is a body "systems check" to make sure everything is working. For a man to not have an erection for several mornings in a row is a sign of a physical problem, potentially a serious one.

  • Morning wood just happens, it's not tied to anything in particular, at least for me.

  • I wake up and my dick is hard, just like I did now. It’s not due to sexy dreams. It’s because our testosterone maximizes in the morning.

    • Are you nervous about losing your virginity?

  • You just wake up with an erection. It sometimes happens when you dream sometimes not. I rarely ever have sex dreams but I still get it.

  • I get morning wood all the time. I tend to have most of my erotic dreams in the early morning after i awake and then fall asleep again. i like that I do and it feels good to get out of bed after and allow my penis to be relaxed as it softens

  • Yup. Usually from dreaming about my girlfriend.

  • Men get 16 horns on average a night while asleep. And we wake up with wood nearly every morning

    • "horns" 😂 I love it.

    • Do guys get morning wood from having erotic dreams?

  • No. Its not from erotic dreams. Its primarily an involuntary reaction a guy's body uses to keep him from peeing in his sleep. And yes, it is more difficult to start peeing when a guy is hard.
