Do you think homosexuality is "normal?"

Not ancillary...

do you think its truly normal? not saying whether or not you think its wrong or not but do you think its natural? I do not believe so, I think it is not because its against evolution, if you are homosexual you can't reproduce... period end of lifei don't think anyone is born gay, rather I think some people may be born with a disposition for it ie less testosterone etc, however I do not think they are born gay.

any way yall's opinions?

people here seem to be struggling with the difference between Homosexual, and BIsexual... yes bisexual is normal, this is viewed in nature, but Homosexuality is never (or extremely seldomly) viewed in nature, for instance male chimp may f*** another male chimp, but that male chimp is still going to procreate with a female (unless it simply can't because its too weak or dies before or whatever) many of these instances are of that of dominance ie chimps resolve conflicts with sex...

Despite the "homosexual" appearances of some animal behavior, this behavior does not stem from a "homosexual" instinct that is part of animal nature. Dr. Antonio Pardo, Professor of Bioethics at the University of Navarre, Spain, explains: Properly speaking, homosexuality does not exist among animals... For reasons of survival, the reproductive instinct among animals is always directed towards an individual of the opposite sex. Therefore, an animal can never be homosexual as such. Nevertheless

  • It's a nature they just can't help it.

  • I got no problem with it but by dictionary definition, no it's not normal.

And natural? Hard to say. It could just be a mutation, could be a result of someones childhood upbringing (psychological), chemical imbalance, modern day chemicals, who knows. The only way we could determin if it was natural is if we knew if cavemen where. I know it oes back to ancient Greece though, so it's it's someone some people are born with, like how only some people are born rare physical mutations, or it's psychological.

    • all those options besides mutation leave it to being not natural, I don't think there is any actual gene mutation that makes them gay, perhaps predisposed but as homosexuality is against the natural order of things (cant continue life) I assume its not part of the genetic makeup

  • NO.

  • Not normal but natural

  • When I see gay men I can't help but cringe.

one man and one woman is normal to me.

Two men in bed and whatever is unnatural to me.

  • I DONT THINK IT IS NATURAL AT ALL.

call me a f***ing bigot, homophobic I don't care shove those words up your gay asses!.

  • it's normal it just isn't as numerous as the amount of straight people

  • Yes since in nature there is also himosexuslity

    • I'd like to present the 2013 spelling champion of the world, anonymous! :P

    • himosexuslity? and there bi not gay...

  • I think is natural and I have no issue with it at all

    • how its against nature

    • What?

  • I think its natural, animals in the wild love on other animals of the same sex.. and of different species! (me and my female Chihuahua share a very deep love and connection!)

    • not true... I think this has to be a joke... other species sure, you'll have horse and donkey... but that's not natural and their offspring are infertile... and if they do, theyre not homosexual or theyd be extinct homosexuality goes against the point of living (scientific classification is partially based on ability to reproduce)

  • I think everything that humans do is natural. We have a tendency to view humans as separate from nature. But, actually, a skyscraper for example is no less natural than a beaver-dam.

    • ... the view that humans are different than the rest of the animal kingdom is viewing them as different or separate from nature imo

    • Humans are a species within nature. It doesn't actually make sense to say that there is anything outside of nature.

  • It's not "normal" but I don't care if someone's a homosexual

    • that's what I'm saying

  • I mean I can't say I've never looked at another guys penis in a locker room or at a sleep over and haven't been curious or what not. But for me to take it to another level, there has been no desire to do. I have a friend of mine who isn't interested in men emotionally, could never date or marry a man but does enjoy doing things with men sexually when the mood arises. I don't judge him for it or classify him as "homosexual or bi-sexual" as a result. It's just human nature.

    • having sex or committing sexual favors for the same sex isn't homosexual to you?

    • As humans we've decided that performing acts alone is not a sign of sexual attraction. If it were homosexual men having wives and children would be impossible.

    • I don't think that having sex or committing sexual acts is homosexual as I see homosexuals having an element of emotion involved with their sexuality. I personally would never engage in a sex act with another man as that holds no interest to me, but as stated before, I've looked and continue to look out of curiosity. Then there is the element of those who don't "really know" For example, Elton John had a wife and child. Rock Hudson was married before coming out as gay?
