Do you think this is wrong?

I just discussed with someone on here who argued that if a underaged teen approached and seduced an adult then the police shouldn't be involved because it would make the situation worse.

I think the adult should know better.

  • Thats a tuff one. I have seen some teens that you would think there adults but then you find out that there only 13 to 15. Damn, i would have guessed 25. Luckly i have never been in that kind of situation but i do see how it can happen.

  • The law is the law. The adult should know better.

  • DID ADULT KNOW that’s biggest difference also how old is she or he like 17 or 18 19 or 16 or below my state age consent 20 I think if she older 16 it ok but still not if they know she underage. Sex crime laws also only laws respected by the system so you’ll get fucked up In jail (paperwork all sex offenders the same so they can’t tell difference between rapist and teenage kid with girls nudes on phone) if she tell you she or he underage then not ok if she or he lie she or he in wrong not adult who believed they 18

  • He should definitely know better. I'm 24 and I feel iffy even around 18 year olds who are of consent here.

There's no excuse for it. Use the head up top and think about what you are doing.

    • OK but I am talking for both genders

    • Same thing both ways.

  • Yes, indeed the adult person should know better. They're the ones who carry a bigger responsibility.

  • yes you would think that.
But then again, if the underage innitiated it the adult shouldn't get into somuch trouble, if it were reversed and the adult made a move on the underage i'm sure the adult would get in a lot more trouble.

  • Now see that's one of the gray areas that we talked about earlier. Personally I think if it's illegal to have sex with someone under a certain age then it should be illegal for people who are under that certain age to have sex with people who are not. I believe the saying is it takes two to tango.

    • So you think in that case police shouldn't be involved

    • no, the under age is presisely cause is consider they do not have enough maturity to solve certain issues, the adult is using all his or her freedom, but the under age actually is subject of limited freedom. thats why you cannot charge the minor as hard as the adult.

  • In that particular situation, the adult should know better; so yes, I think it’s wrong.

  • It’s real hard hard one because some girls look older than they actually are and they trick you and lie about their age. We also need to ask them for their ID

  • I agree with you. The adult shouldn’t be saying yes to a 16 year old’s advances.

  • I give the same answer as I did before, if a teenage boy seduces an adult woman, she should not be punished unless she is his teacher or caregiver. Adult men however, who have relationships with minors should be punished.

    • Nice prejudice

  • What if the teen didn't disclose their age?

  • You're 100% right.

  • Of course the adult should know better the teenager is the one in the wrong trying to seduce someone older than her, if the police get involved its a good thing in my opinion

  • If the teen is underage that adult need to go to jail

    • Not sure, I do have some sympathy for them if the teen looked mature

    • Are you saying they didn't know there age if so that changes everything

    • What if the kid looks 20?

  • I agree with you, the adult "should" know better... too bad not all do.

  • Having sex with a minor is a crime so, doesn't matter who knows better.

  • Does the person know the age of the person that did the seducing? If so then it was wrong and police shud be called.

  • Adults should, that’s not rocket science!

  • We all think the adult should know better but that is not always the case and hence the reason why law enforcement should intervene.
