Omg i am shocked. So men also can study straight away after graduating high school like girls? My male class mates did a compulsory military service after high school. And why does america have one of the largest armies, if it is volunterarily? Why should someone do that voluntarily?

Is it dangerous for woman to join the millitary and have you ever joined the millitary? Why do someone join it volunterarily to to kill random people in afghanistan for example? I dont know how you protect your own country by invading random countries. No hate, i only dont understand it

I think everyone should be required to have a minimum of one year of government service with greater benefit for enlisted full time military service. I would favor a year of tuition in a strategic occupation such as engineering, hard sciences, etc. for 3+years military service.
All teenage boys are required to register for it just in case the government decides to use it but in practice they haven’t for a long time and probably won’t because it would be a political disaster since most Americans now recognize that we’re not the good guys in most of the wars we’ve been fighting abroad and aren’t gullible enough to believe the media goading us into more costly and destructive wars anymore.
What does that mean you are not the good guys?
It means the wars we’ve been fighting in have been nothing but imperialistic acts of aggression, not actually defending the country from any real threats. The politicians and the military-industrial complex just sends our kids to die in wars that have nothing to do with actually defending the country and everything to do with aggression and filling the pockets of the defense companies.

If you are referring to the United States, no we don't. Military service is completely voluntary.
People don't join to kill ( maybe some do) they join for many other reasons. There are benefits to be had and most people respect the men and women who choose to serve in our military. And we don't kill "random people in Afghanistan". The extremests and terrorist aim to destroy the free world and our military is what keeps it away from our front door.
