Ending a life because its continued existence is inconvenient for you is plain barbaric. If the babies had been born we'd call it genocide.
The decision to have a baby needs to be made prior to sex by means of contraception.
Exception circumstances for rape, abuse, incest, and likely death of mother and/or baby. Probably a few others too.
But not in the name of convenience.
That said, ending the "right" to abortion - which I'm certain the original writers of the constitution would have been horrified by - perpetuates poverty cycles and disproportionately impacts racial minorities in the USA.
Basically the USA are straightening deck chairs on the Titanic1 0 0 0so what about rape and incest
Abortion disproportionately affects minorities, surely protecting innocent lives, especially minority lives is a good thing?
@RuthlessAggression I stated "Exception circumstances for rape, abuse, incest..." Read the whole answer @allaboutyou2 I also pointed out ending the right "perpetuates poverty cycles and disproportionately impacts racial minorities in the USA" Does nobody read the whole fucking answer? Or are you too busy arranging the fucking deck chairs.
I personally don't care what people do but yes people should get a plan b, if they have sex without a condom and don't plan on being a mother

What Girls & Guys Said
4 17I know what you mean. The number of young people who are having completely unprotected sex with strangers has been on the rise for years. I stopped having hookups because it got to the point where no condom was expected, Same with my girlfriends. But I also know girls who have no problem with this, Some of them have had unprotected sex with 100+ guys and gotten pregnant and had an abortion many times.
0 1 0 0And they are most likely on medicaid which means I pay for it and that's why I'm happy it's now stopped
How stupid are people today? Manifestly, so damn stupid they don't see that a huge fuss is being kicked up over something that won't have a huge effect on most people, and which can be changed by voting in new leadership to change existing laws (you know, that whole "democracy" thing), primarily as a distraction. The Democratic party is in SERIOUS need of something to make the voters not think about the economic consequences of the lockdowns they kept going LONG after the Republicans had accepted reality, and the wild madnesses of Biden's leadership.
The Court just handed them one on a silver platter.0 0 0 0The effects will ofc depend who and where you are
Watch what republican led states do, you idiot
@RuthlessAggression In response to this? Many of them will move to restrict or outlaw abortion. They don't NEED a distraction from their incompetence; they didn't demonstrate any- nothing on the level the Democrats did, anyway. The GOP leaders kept their states and cities locked down (except for Noem) only briefly, and accepted reality when it came; Covid's not actually dangerous.
Isn't access to contraception great? Every one of my girlfriends were on the pill. I figured that I've came inside women over 5000 times and there was never a mishap. And I never used condoms. I hate condoms.
So yeah, I agree with you.
I do acknowledge that accidental pregnancies can occur. Unhealthy pregnancies can also occur. So I'm opposed to prohibitions on abortions, although I would support certain limitations.
Unfortunately, a lot of the "pro-life" fanatics oppose contraception, too.1 0 0 0@Lliam I'm extremely pro-life, and I support contraception 100%!
Accidents never happen? Contraception should be given free. It is by Planned Parenthood, but it should be freely available at every drug store as a government service.
0 0 0 0i thought republicans were all about "keeping government out of their lives" Yet here they are, banning abortions
Birth control pills mess up period
0 0 0 0And republicans are after them now, too, anyway
even vasectomy is an option, generally a lot of rural types believe they are invisible to pregnancy
0 0 0 0Lol I think it's an iq issue
I think it's an IQ issue as well. Lol
very much so, i see it on reddit/r/sex all the time
Exactly, I agree 100%.
0 0 0 0Watch what they're coming after next
Yeah I always wear a condom when me and a girl start having sex and if she is in the pill even better. I just feel people have gotten lazy or not smart and responsible when having sex.
1 1 0 0And republicans are coming after bc, next, just you watch
been thinking same thing.
0 0 0 0Watch what they're coming after next
They're after those next, too
0 0 0 0Also, I don't even want kids
To be perfectly honest I couldn't agree with you more regarding birth control options available to girls and guys theese days
1 0 0 0Common sense and honesty is rare in politicians and many others.
1 0 0 0Common sense is no where to be found on this site. Especially QA
One ofte best birt control is our goverment, am i wrong?😬 Anyway, if i use the condom, i dont feel any pleasure all the time. So pill is best option..
0 0 0 0Yep, and they're after the pill, next
Abortion is their birth control. That's why they're upset. And I don't understand why abortion is so appealing to so many women. Tearing a baby out of their stomach with metal tools and vacuum cleaners. Sounds like a lot of fun. I don't understand how they don't find this practice grotesque.
1 1 0 0Says someone inexperienced. Birth control ain't magical.
0 0 0 0You'd have to know me to comment on my experience/inexperience. But it's a well known thing that the pill is very close to 100% safe
My wife’ pills were made ineffective by antibiotics. Shit happens.
Yes, you should always ask your doctor if your new meds will have any effect on your current meds
Yes there are lots of stupid people out there unfortunately.
0 0 0 0Ikrr
0 1 0 0it was never meant to exist
0 0 0 0Another big distraction from real problems people face.
0 1 0 0You mean agenda 2030? Or the spaceships? Illuminate? Or just that our supposed president often gets surprised by gravity...
Price of gas, price of energy, price of food, inflation, unemployment, obesity, crumbling infrastructure, possible food shortage...
Well if you are distracted from THOSE by the overturn of roe v wade then you should probably try to develop a few more braincells cuz... damn... I thought you were a conspiracy nutcase lmao 🤣 😂
According to articles/surveys such as this one, about half of women having abortions reported using contraceptives. It's important that couples understand that there is a risk to pregnancy unless your are permantlhy infertile or sterile for some reason.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5963273/1 0 0 0Lol the pill is 99.9% it's almost impossible to get pregnant on the pill.
What many sources such as this one www.nhs.uk/.../ is that fewer than 1 in 100 women will get pregnant after one year of sexual intercourse with perfect use. Typical use is much higher. Lets say the pill is 99.99 percent effective, that means approximately 1 in 1000 women of child bearing age will get pregnant after one year of sexual intercourse. If you applt that a million women, that's 1000 women that will get pregnant after one year of sexual intercourse. Though other forms of contraception like condoms are even lower, according to the source I linked 2 in 100 women will get pregant even with perfect use. If you take 2 out of 100 women in a year for a million child bearing women that's 20,000 women who will get pregnant. Those are use applying those failure rates to a million women of child bearing, how many women of child bearing age are having sexual intercourse? I imagine a lot more then one million, lol.
Exactly. The pill is basically 100% safe... like I always say...
