Every species of animal on this planet is still around after millions of years because the species never fails to reproduce the next generation. My point is that millions of years of evolution results in animals with a strong sex drive. This is healthy, and wouldn't favour males or females being more perverted or horny or anything than the other gender. There are a whole lot of other influences in sexuality, e. g. what society condones, what religions condone, how judgmental our family and friends are, and our own personal ethics regarding finding a mate, not breaking hearts, getting pregnant accidentally, passing on STIs, etc etc. Everyone wants to get laid, but we have to negotiate all these things. It's interesting to see how the information age has changed the world of p*rn. Some people used to buy pornos from their newsagent, but had so suffer the risk of judgement from witnesses. XXX video tapes from the video store became a hit. Then the internet came along and pictures were so much easier to find. Then broadband internet came along, and today we can watch sex videos free online, and can even have video conversations with webcams, so you get isolation (no pregnancy or STIs), anonymity (no judgement from peers), and interactivity (personal involvement), but no touch. In the future, we can expect more haptic technology, (a tactile feedback technology which recreates the sense of touch by applying forces, vibrations, or motions to the user) together with telerobotic technology (so you can control sex toys remotely and physically stimulate someone remote sexually). It will give 'house call' a whole new meaning, and allow hooking up in a way never before seen.
In fact, when all the predjudices regarding human sexuality are finally discarded, we might even see 'orgasm vending machines' on the streets. Maybe not. :-)
