I am just wondering how that is even possible since birth pains are supposed to be so intense that they "overrule" other physical perceptions, mainly in the cervix/vaginal canal and mouth that are stretched tenfold to accommodate the newborn.

It is beyond my comprehension as a lay person how such opposite sensations can occur simultaneously. I certainly would never want to be in that position that must be utmost unpleasant.

I have actually had a conversation about this a lot. It is true that a good number of women have orgasm whilst giving birth. A lot of times it happens around 2-3 contractions.

They may take meds to lessen the pain, but pitocin and similar medications are only given when a delivery is NOT natural, but scheduled, possibly due to the baby being late or the contractions NOT being productive. I had no meds and my son came out naturally.

My mom didn't tell me a thing about breastfeeding. Why the secrecy?
