Yes, most people are conditioned in childhood and are on autopilot for the rest of their lives, aren't they? Kinda like sheep. Choice is (would be) what makes us human. Most people these days watch TV all day and have their lives dictated by what they see. Simple as that. Which is why I threw mind away many years ago and haven't looked back. This has allowed my mind to expand beyond what would be possible if you stare at a flashing screen all day.
To address your question, I would like to open up your mind a bit more than it seems to be already open. Let's turn the question around, shall we? Why would you need to choose? Like stick to one preference for life? Can't you be spontaneous? Let the moment decide. Allow it to unfold and manifest as it will? Say be excited by men most of the time but if you get wet from a woman's kiss just go with the flow?

It was apparent as far as I can remember. I think that it’s perhaps more challenging those who aren’t straight as they may receive socialization assuming they will be straight and as a child it’s not as obvious that they won’t feel that way when older. So in their teens they have to recognize that the attraction for the other sex they were told was going to happen isn’t going to happen.

based on your comments below I’d note that who you attract and how you dress don’t have anything to do with your sexuality. Who is the idea of having sex with appealing? It’s that simple, really. A good awareness is if you only really fall in love with one group that’s also good to know.

I was gonna reply sarcastically because I thought the question was a joke mocking the people who think sexuality is a choice, but then I saw your comments.

Your sexuality is just whoever you are attracted to. If you're attracted to men, you're straight. If you're attracted to women, you're gay. If you're attracted to both, then you're bisexual, and that's fine, you don't have to pick one.
