How do you feel about prostitution?

A young woman decides this is the profession for her, she makes sure she's clean and discreet.
She provides cleaned toys, condoms, lubricants and is checked for stds regularly.
To keep things safe she keeps a steady client list, doesn't take drugs, and doesn't drink. It's a mutual transaction between two consenting adults.
Although it's not a legally accepted profession its dealt with with the utmost professional practice.

  • You've been reading too much shitty erotica. No one chooses to lend themselves out to sex for pay - they are either coerced or driven into it.

Hence why it's the most lowest of the black markets. Even the mafia don't admit to racketeering in prostitution, as they risk concrete shoes.

    • It’s legal in heaps of countries bro.

    • I haven't been reading any erotica. I was thinking about it actually in the context of being legal and not seedy this might be how it looks and as the other responder said its legal in other countries. But not the uk or America. Even though we know these services are used by so many.

  • It disgusts me on every conceivable level. Sex is pretty intimate to me and it is only for couples. Selling your body, access to the most intimate parts of you... letting complete strangers touch you and penetrate you anywhere and everywhere... that is so vile and horrific I cannot even get my head around it.

A guy actually paying a stranger... someone who may have already had sex 3 or 4 times already that day with 3 or 4 other strangers... she's been with 100's...1,000's of men. So, so, so, so gross.

I'd never solicit a prostitute. I'd disown my kids if they ever did that. So, gross, disgusting, vile, worthless, a dead life. How can you not feel dead inside. What pathetic men would ever date her or marry her? I bet there are some pathetic, weak men who probably would.

    • You're entitled to your opinion and i can see why you feel that way. I'm not entirely sure if a woman like that would want to get married. Especially if in this situation she's sane, sober and treating it as a business. I would assume a woman like this maybe see the profit that can be had. And doesn't much waste her time and energy on situations that might lead her of the path of maintaining her business. Everyone needs someone. And I think there are men that like when a woman shares herself with others. So I don't think that would be an issue. Like I said to the others I personally don't think much of it. I do think though if I had a husband and I found out he used one I would be really hurt. But that would be due to my own insecurities about my own performance. And whether or not I'm still clean. You know.

    • Are you thinking about becoming a prostitute?

    • No I am not. After looking at dating apps and how easily available they make them to get sex, it's interesting just how many men are into whatever comes up. Especially if she's open to whatever... I get that they're not paying and to them maybe that makes it seem different but I don't really see the difference. Accept I think men would think since he's paying he can get it however he likes and she can't refuse to serve him

  • Prostitution has been around for millennia and it's not going to go away. IMHO, prostitution should be legalized and regulated, as some European countries and the state of Nevada already do. Sex trafficking is wrong, and people involved in forcing women into prostitution should be punished, but if a woman wants to be a prostitute, that should be her decision.

  • If you want to do it, enjoy and do as thou Wilt

  • (Assumedly) consenting adults, entering into a voluntary business relationship where things of value are exchanged. I say that as a Libertarian Conservative. However, I believe that sex work should be licensed, regulated, inspected and taxed. But part of the licensing function should be regular scheduled STD testing and monitoring of sexual slavery.

  • My intuition doesn’t like it but my rational mind doesn’t like it

    • Read your opinion again. I think you might mean something else. :)

    • @FirefliesandFlowers my intuition doesn’t like it but my rational mind doesn’t see anything wrong with it

    • Okay :)

  • Her body, her decision. However, one must always be careful, as prostitutes are unfortunately often victims of violence.
But you can also really have fun doing it.
It is just important to choose the right clients and not take everyone.

  • It's actually my preferred method of sex.

    • Can I ask why?

    • Now thats an interesting question. I too would like to know.

    • It's a fetish

  • It's something for me not to judge but having the same clients is a scary situation cause you just never know when one makes a mistake and boom then they have to
be tested for HIV and STDs and trust me more diseases are kept hush hush then
one can shake a stick at also there are drug addicts out there who keep their addiction quiet and they commit sex acts in exchange for money and to support their habit yes it's sad to think about it and some prostitutes get involved with these guys and end up showing up HIV positive

  • Same as I do about marijuana: legalize it!! Who is it hurting? NOBODY!!

  • It's NOT a profession.
If that were the case, we'd also see a beggar as being ''self-employed''?

  • I have never been with one but it should be legal.

  • I have no issue it. Even if I did it wouldn't really matter

  • I am a stripper and prostitute myself n i m very proud of ny chouces my career n myself

    • Whatever makes you happy I say.

  • The Johns and Tricks need to be arrested. Not the working people

  • I think it’s sad, regardless of the practices upheld.

the girls are usually fine. It’s the kinds of people they attract that are usually less than savory.

  • I'll have to check with my hooker.

  • It should be legal but I am also not the type of guy who would pay for it.

  • i feel like that's a horribly short sighted career decision. like what are you gonna do once your visual attractiveness to men fades away as you age? how are you gonna find a partner? is your support structure gonna carry this decision or will that break away for you? (talking about friends and family supporting you). what is your developing path in this career? is your plan to have enough money to retire by the time you're too old/unattractive? well then fair enough. i highly doubt that will be possible tho.

  • I don't think it's any of my business, if someone wants to either prostitute or pay for one that's their choice to make.
