I found "I Spit On Your Grave" very difficult to watch. Somebody said in a comment on my other poll (vote here if you haven't) that they're sexually aroused by rape scenes. It was a pink account but looking at her profile, I am skeptical that she isn't either fake or a troll.
I'm also going to add in poll options about sadistic pleasure because a movie critic Roger Ebert said that when he was in the theatre of ISOYG, he heard some people cheering during the rape scenes.
How do you typically feel about rape scenes in movies/TV?

19 55I spit on your grave was traumatic for me...
I wouldn't say traumatic because I looked away during most of the scenes that would have been traumatic, but I did find it very disturbing.
It really was.. I can't watch that movie again..
During ISOYG2 I had to take a break after the first rape scene because it was too much.
Dude my whole family watched that movie like it was a sitcom.. It bothered me more seeing them watch it so nonchalantly
I would never be able to watch any of the ISOYG movies with family tbh. I would be way too uncomfortable
All adults man.. Group vote between that stupid movie and wrong turn which is equally terrible
its very disturbing.
Always aggravating to have to be subjected to such scenes. I can only be turned on by consensual gentleness.
that is fucking sick nobody should be raped under any circumstances and whoever does it needs to be shot in the head since jail would be to good for them and have their dicks or cunts chopped off (whoever does the raping) then get shot in the head
Usually unnecessary. There’s a trope of giving women a reason to kick ass.
I feel great about them
I skip rape scenes, I just can't watch them.
I was assaulted so watching would be a trigger. Talking about in normal manner would not trigger me.
I don't know much about this, but I'd say that a woman raping a man (vaginally) would unlikely work lacking of a hard-on of his for her to insert.
Im not with or against, i think its all about the storyline if the victim was a bad person i would like to see him suffer
Saw a part of 3. I usually fuck off at the first sign of a rape scene. Which is kinda funny BCS I enjoy violent movies/games
I have never seen rape scenes.
my mother and aunts were raped.
Sexually aroused but not sorry for the victim because it's just acting.
You know how I feel about it this is how I feel. It's pretty sick and it shouldn't be put there at all but in what it's done anyway I think it adds to people's fear and I think it brings back bad memories for those who had to experience that just because it's a reality doesn't mean we have to be subject subjected to it or put it in the people's minds
I don't care for them much, they are tasteless and defradeing
The scenes usually just make me uncomfortable. But then again, it probably should be.
Don't bother me... But then again I'm of the opinion that any person place or thing only has power if u give it power... So I choose not to... As a victim myself I say nope don't bother me a bit...
Irreversible was like too much tbh... I mean also having someone so mainstream as Monica Bellucci made the impact way more and it was hard to watch... Too graphic tbh
I don't just think negatively. I'm both very sad and EXTREMELY pissed off. I never want anyone to deal with that. Ever. And if I could I would go into the screen or story and completely pull a Deus Ex Machina by saving the person in question and shove a serrated knife right into their private area and asshole. Fake or not I absolutely hate it.
shove a knife into the private area and asshole of the rapist or victim?
Rapist of course. The victim all I wanna do is give them a blanket and get them to the nearest safe place possible.
