How did you ever catch him doing that? Was it through snooping? What you saw seems weird and gross since you don't think of your parents as sexual beings. Many parents would be just as upset to catch their kids masturbating for the same reason -- they're their children and it's hard to see them in a sexual way. No one likes to think of their relatives having urges and being sexual. But, rightly or wrongly, a lot of dads do this, not just yours. Probably many moms nowadays too.
