Its not in the commandments, so its not a sin. I think a lot of the time when Christians teach teenagers that they are not allowed to masturbate is because if they masturbate they are less likely to join in a relationship and procreate. Its a strange message to teach that you are not allowed to masturbate and must practice abstinence, unless you make babies.
I mean each exactly but not everything against Christian rules are written in the Ten Commandments.
