I’m not okay with my boyfriend seeing another woman naked yet society shoves it down everyone’s throat. Is there anyone that shares my opinion?

I’m talking porn, in movies, skimpy outfits at festivals, women in pasties and thongs at rallies, wearing shorts with butt cheeks out, etc. did you know womens swimwear was modeled after lingerie? I’m not okay with the skimpy swimsuit either. Men do not show as much skin as women do, and they dress normally. I do not see why women cannot do the same. Nudity is meant to be intimate and vulnerable between two loving partners. I’m so done with women and men leaking their sexuality in public. No I am not religious. I just hate that it is inescapable and everyone is desensitized. Nudity is natural but it doesn’t mean we need to allow men into the women’s locker room if you understand my point.

  • Hello there, I hope this finds you well and I hope this helps you. It seems to me like you are in the wrong environment. I am gathering that you might be young, and haven’t quite experienced the rest of the real world. You are watching the wrong kind of movies and participating in the wrong kind of activities. As you age you will understand what I mean. You have to stear clear of the immature activities and things like raves rallies and stuff that cater to a younger crowd, and movies that are geared only towards men. If you lived in the UK, you wouldn’t be having these feelings, because the men there wear very skimpy bathing suits and things are just different. Unfortunately right now, you are a product of your environment-which is an American Patriarchy- and you need to expand your world a bit. Are you watching shows like Naked Attraction, Sex Life, 365, Michael Fassenbender in Shame, Rome/Sparatacus, etc etc, which completely show sexy full frontal male nudity, or are you watching immature shows which only cater to the male gaze. Your algorithm on your phone and IPad when search social media stuff and see ads. What is it showing you? Mine is all hot men and sexy rugby players etc because it’s learned what I do and don’t like- and I definitely don’t click on females. If I watch porn, it’s definitely going to show me more hot men than females, because of things I’ve clicked on. What I’m trying to say is- You are a product of your environment. Don’t hang out at immature bars or places that are obviously a double standard run by men in terms of entertainment. It might be where you live too. If you ever get a chance to go to the UK, do it, because make sexuality and nudity is way more prevalent there, at beaches and things and nightclubs. America is slowing getting there- you just have to change your environment a bit and open your world so your not exposed to the immature places and things that only cater to young heterosexual men. I’m 42 and my world is definitely not like yours, neither is a gay man’s. It’s because you are putting yourself in those environments. Also realize that butts and boobs of both genders are not considered nudity anymore-(men literally walk around half naked all the time shirtless) and only the genitalia is- the America patriarchy is real but luckily they trying change all that - so put yourself in a place where you don’t have to view things that make you uncomfortable. And please don’t listen to some of the dumb men commenting in here. They can’t tbink outside their narrow minded boxes. Best of luck to you :)

    • That was supposed to say “ If you ever get a chance to go to the UK, do it, because ‘male’ sexuality and nudity is way more prevalent there, at beaches and things and nightclubs. 🤗

    • Oh and one other thing I wanted to mention. There is a big outcry right now going on in American film and they are trying to change a lot of things. Tons of companies and films are becoming more female friendly. The reason things were the way they were for a while is because men in the last 40 years became movie producers and displayed what they wanted to watch- but that more women are coming into the workforce, and not staying home; and are becoming movie producers too,, you’ll start to see a huge trend switching as things change and become more gender equal friendly. Movies used to be a male dominated thing because women weren’t in the workforce or had access to money to start a film, etc. But things are changing. Hence , stuff like Magic Mike, etc. It’s been a rough last 40 years in America-but don’t worry. Things are changing for the better

    • Thanks for the change of perspective. I do value modesty, although I think if things were more equal in America my views could potentially be different. I’ll definitely travel around more.

  • I actually don't care, because I don't use up my mental energy worrying about things that I cannot and will not do anything about. The only way to not see people in normal bathing suits when we go swimming is maybe to move to a Muslim country. But that's never going to happen, for obvious reasons. So no, we have better things to worry about. If your boyfriend is out watching porn, inappropriate videos, and staring at women's butts when you go out, that's a you problem. I don't have that problem with my husband.

  • I sort of agree... mainly because I've sat through so many movies where there is this extended sex scene that just wastes time in telling the story. Why did I just need to see her tiddies? What was the point of adding a 12-minute-long soft porn flick in a movie when they could have just eluded to what happened? Why? There is no reason to show tiddies and dicks just to tell a story... it takes a special type of globo homo to think that is absolutely necessary. Oh shit don't get me started on the gay ass music they play during that shit.

  • It sounds like you have strong feelings about the portrayal of nudity and sexualization in society. Many people share your views and believe that nudity should be kept private and intimate. It's important to remember that everyone has different comfort levels and boundaries when it comes to nudity and sexuality. It's okay to express your opinions and advocate for what you believe in.

  • I'm in California... I hate to break it too you but they have already allowed the men into the women's locker rooms, women's restrooms and everywhere else, here

    • And how often do you get something shoved up your ass because of this @laurieluvsit?

  • It is no big deal... as u know he has seen other naked women before or all he has to do is look on any porn site. As long as he is happy with you and it does not mess up ur sex life it is no big deal. How old is he? IS he new to sex or a virgin?

    • Neither of us are new to intimacy. I’m saying this because I don’t morally believe that it’s okay to welcome other women into the relationship whether it is on a video/pics/whatever.

  • I feel bad for your boyfriend.

    • Lol why do you feel bad? Relationships are consensual. And I bring enough value to the table that those things don’t matter.

    • He's spineless then..

    • So you expect to NEVER look at any other naked women... ever?

  • Completely agree. Modern culture is oversexualized to a disgusting degree. Men are constantly bombarded with images of: SEXSEXSEX while women are constantly bombarded with the message to behave like sluts.

  • I think that's reasonable.

  • I get what you mean but talking about women's swimwear and then saying 'men do not show as much skin as women do' is boldly hypocritical 😭 Men go out there topless in speedos, c'mon now

    • I’ve never seen a guy in a Speedo. It does not exist where I live. But girls in dental floss do, and that’s still showing more skin than a speedo. I was also talking about clothing in general when I said women show more skin. Crop tops/etc. guys dress normally for a casual day out. Girls are confined to what society has told them is “in”

    • Oh, guess it's based on culture. Aussie life is beach life, the men have stopped caring. 40-60% have teeny little speedos 💀

    • Very interesting. I guess this post mostly applies to the United States. It’s interesting to see each culture in their own little bubble.

  • Sluts and whores are everywhere you can't really change it since they tend to be the winners in life.

  • I totally agree with you.

  • See no issue with it for me being naked and being sexulized is diffent do I watch a move see a naked women and get turned on no because its nit what I'm their for

  • Very few. That's life in an open society. Most people have no problem with it. Maybe you should move to Afghanistan.

  • I agree with you. Me and my husband do not watch porn. Sometimes I have to travel and stay away from home and I've told my husband 'I know you're going to miss me but always remember that I'm going to miss you too and I'll be back in a few days. If I can control my urges you can control yours too.'

    • Sounds like something a controlling wife would do.

  • discuss it with him

  • Meh, I see no problem with nudity. Cheating I despise, but just seeing another person naked and not doing anything with them isn't cheating.

  • Keep a blindfold on you at all times

  • It’s weird how stuff like that didn’t bother me but getting cheated on and my ex looking at other women while we were together with our baby did.

  • shut up and move to iran

    • This is very hateful and you never know what someone could be going through. I suggest you watch your words online even if it is your opinion.

  • Most people are brainwashed enough to not think this way

    • What does this mean?

  • It's not OK. Once your in a relationship you have to be serious with that person.

    • @hispanic-cool-guy. Yes, agreed.

  • Yes, whore culture is a very real thing.

    • Fact.

  • This is a you problem not a society problem
