  • In the 1970's there was a style of women's skirts (and SOME dresses) termed 'Taxi skirts'
    that featured a visually-prominent full length zipper... of the kind that had tabs BOTH top and bottom such had it could be unzipped from either top OR bottom like some coat zippers.

    It got is name from Parisian Street Sex Workers whom could wear the tight 'Apache dancer styled pencil skirt's zipper front or backward and either straddle their Beau facing or... demurely 'ride' on his lap bouncing whilst tootling about Paris! MUCH to commend opportune potholes!

    Such 'service' made it challenging for the local Gendarmes to catch them~
