I stained my bfs sheets?

i was sleeping over at my bfs place (I'm 17 and he's 19) and I wake up to the horrible sinking sensation of starting ur period on ur bfs sheets! Eep! I am feeling this wave of emotions that range from fear to embarrassment to god awful cramps aka pain to fear again and some hormones thrown into the mix. If u were my boyfriend in this situation, be honest how grossed out would you be, how would you react, would u want me to buy u new sheets, I am so scared to wake him, I've been lying still for the past two hours. And there's also the fact that my period came two weeks early and I'm so not prepared. If we have never even talked about periods, how am I supposed to ask him to run to the store and get me some tampons, I know that's really embarrassing for guys.

Any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated

  • These are the times that test your capacity for true intimacy. If he truly cares about you,

    1. he will not blame you in any way. He will simply suggest that you get up and the two of you can wash the linens.

    2. Yes, it is embarrassing for many guys to go buy female supplies, but it is what you do when you are in a relationship.

    3. If he can't handle this in a graceful way, "there's your sign."

  • I would try to reassure my girlfriend that it's okay. She obviously didn't intend for it to happen and she didn't have any control over when her period came. I wouldn't want her to buy a new set of sheets, and I would definitely go to the store for her. Girls never have to apologize for their periods.

    • Thank you for MHO!

    • Np sorry it's so late :) @tadcurious

  • I've started my period during sex, bled on a guy's sheets, bled from super rough sex on his sheets etc etc plenty times. I just laugh it off, don't be embarrassed cause trust me the boy will feel more awkward if you act embarrassed. End of the day it's just blood. Everyone has blood and girls bleed naturally every month. Nothing to be embarrassed about it was an accident and shit happens. Trust me it's okay !!

  • Just tell him, and nowadays some guys doesn't get embarrassed to buy tampons for their wife/girlfriend.
Things like this happen, so just let him know and clean up before it settle in.

  • Why are you so afraid lol? It was just period. Tell him about it. I'm sure he'll think it's normal. It happened to me once and my boyfriend just took off the sheets and changed it.

    • Thanks for the MHO

  • My boyfriend would be making sure I'm okay cause like blood and then go throw the sheets in the wash. It's just a period... If he can't handle it he's not the guy for you

  • This same question has been posted a few times and the answer is always the same. The chances are that your boyfriend will be not in the least bothered by this, he will do what is required to help you out. If you need to get tampons he will do it, he's not just going to leave you stranded. Sheets can be washed. This is no big deal at all.

    • Most guys older don't mind this but young dudes don't know what to do with this. And you can't just clean period out of sheets yo. Unless you have bleach on hand... And that mattress is probably ruined.

    • You can actually clean blood out of even white sheets because I've done it and it was just a machine wash. As for the mattress, it's likely that the stain can be cleaned out because it wouldn't usually take the full impact. Again, I've done that too.

  • Just be straight and forward. I don't know any girls though that don't always carry them in their purse or something. Call a friend if he trips about it. Like a girlfriend

    • I normally do always carry them but the other day I gave them to a friend in need and never got a chance to restock, and yah! I think i will call a friend thanks for the tip!

    • No prob. And might as well tell your dude. The damage is done already.

  • Scrub under cold water and the blood will come right out of the sheets.

  • If he is a sane decent man, he shouldn't be bothered by it. It's a normal bodily occurrence and the only men that are bothered by it are immature boys and jerks. I hope that he doesn't get upset, though. It would be nonsensical.

  • If you don't talk to him about it, you are robbing him of a chance to show you he cares. Also, it's a good way to see for yourself if he is a jerk before you go too far in this relationship.
Personally, I wouldn't mind and would gladly go shopping for tampons if it helps you. Of course, it's not our favorite activity, I am sure it ain't your either, but we don't do it for fun. We do it to help you because we are a team.

  • I've probably seen 50 posts on here exactly like this one, and I've never understood why all of the women asking this question were so mortified.

I personally wouldn't give a fuck. I probably wouldn't even bother washing them until she left. It's seriously not a big deal.

  • Honestly, just wake him. Tell him what happened and that it cane unexpectedly. It's not like it's your fault, we can't regulate them.

  • Shit happens. Not your fault. But if I stained your sheets, I'd buy you new ones, common courtesy.

If the guy freaks out, he's a bitch at heart. Same if he's embarrassed to go buy tampons. I do that all the time, nobody cares. And if they do, I don't care.

  • if he's a real boyfriend then this shouldn't be a big deal. in the future worst things might happen so this is nothing really

  • If the sheets are white then just tell him you are a huge supporter of Japan. Seriously though, periods are natural and stuff happens.

  • Hey Darling, could you do me a big favor? Mother nature called and I had an accident. Could you get me some tampons or pads while I clean up the mess? Thanks babe.

  • Lol. This also happened to us. I was totally ok with it. Its natural.

  • well its natural. why the fuck get so fearful?

    • So u wouldn't be upset,

    • I just, no one wants to wake up like that and I ruined his sheets and omg it's so embarrassing

    • i'd smile and just change the sheets. wtf never had a normal laid back boyfriend before?

  • He won't care, I wouldn't! Nota big deal AT ALL.

  • don't be worried. truth sets you free.

  • This happens. Just tell him and clean up.

  • you're human. it happens. go fold up some toilet paper and use it like you would a pad for now. get a wash cloth, damp it & dab it on the sheets then put a towel down for now and sleep on it. explain why later aslong as he doesn't actually see the blood things might go smoothly

  • Never bothered me and won't bother me. I know how to remove blood in laundry. All a part of life. any sensible guy will understand.

  • Don't worry. It's normal, my girl and me had a world map on a white sheet. We just replaced it. I could afford that at least. And generally, boy friends wouldn't ask for a replacement. They have to deal with all life.

Your situation, Keep calm and tell him pleasantly. Take care

  • I would put these sheet in a shrine and never wash them... smell them when I'm longing for you...
