I had a bit of a crush on my guitarist's girlfriend after I first met her back in late `81 but wasn't in love her. About 2 years later, he had a fight with her and left her. She was afraid of the crutches and, as we were best friends, she asked me to stay with her until the cast came off to help her around her apt. So, I did. Eventually, she went back to him and I hardly saw her again for the next 20 years. A few years later, he died and she got a new boyfriend. A few years later, she dumped him and, a year later (3 years ago), she decided she wanted me to be her boyfriend. I gave it a shot but, this time, I WASN'T IN love with her! As much as we TRIED to fuck, as much as I WANTED to fuck her (I hadn't had any since 1995!), I just couldn't!! Nearest I can figure is that it's because I just wasn't IN love with her, anymore!

Well, it's the only thing I can figure that kept me from fucking her. Thank you! I hope I do, too! The other had a steady girlfriend for a while but still kept fucking other girls behind her back!! She caught him and he promised not to cheat on her anymore. He still cheated on her! She gave him 3 chances!! 2 more than I would've given him! He blew it each time so, she dumped him!! Eventually, he found a girl that he decided to marry and, within a few days/weeks started cheating on her and couldn't wait to dump her!! He did! Got a new girlfriend and cheated on her numerous times!! Guys like this severely screw up MY chances because girls think ALL guys are like them!! So, if I meet a girl and eventually let her know that I WON'T cheat on her, she thinks it's the same lie she's heard from every other guy that she gave it up to!! But, with me, it's NOT!! I WON'T cheat on her!! I'm VERY loyal!! Funny, how they'll freely give it up to those lying assholes that hurt them but they won't "give it up" to me, one of numerous guys that WON''T fuck them over!!

I actually wouldn’t change a thing as I lost my virginity to her and she taught me a great deal. We could never have been in a relationship because we were two totally different people who were complete opposite’s. A friend is exactly that: someone you're platonic with and not attracted to. I can't have sex with someone I'm not attracted to, which means they are either an acquaintance or friend.
The only exception would be if I was interested in him and wanted to be more than friends, which I would have expressed prior to our friendship- basically we're getting to know each other and seeing where it leads. Or my feelings for him had changed over time- which yes, might be possible, though it's rare.

That percentage would go up to around 20%-25% if it was an "outside of current circumstances" type situation, taking into account factors like some of my female friends are married, or that I work or go to school with some of them, etc. I wouldn't have sex with those people usually since I'm not trying to break up their marriage or have things be awkward at work/school, &c. But mutatis mutandis, just based on attraction, why not?
It's pretty common knowledge among men, that we don't really form friendships with women that we are not attracted to them on some level physically. So for a man to make the jump, its not really that far of a leap. That's why most men are very skeptical about women with lots of guy friends... not because we don't trust our girlfriends in most cases its because we don't trust other men.
Guy friends have a way of making themselves 3rd wheels, once they start to realize that their girl "friend" is with another man and they are losing their chance. This also why most just guy and girl "friendships" don't last long once the girl makes it clear that they are just "friends" and sex will never happen.

Well to be honest... there are a few "scenarios" about that situation... If he/she is married, and they like each other then i'm sure one day he/she would like to try each other... and can happen in a blink of an eye, even if it considered Cheating.
