Is being bisexual and pansexual the same thing?

Seems like most of you only think there's two genders

This might be obvious but I'm pan and I always tell people I'm bi cuz a lot of people dont know what pan is. I really hate saying that bi since I really feel that i could love anyone regardless of there gender. And to me there is more than male and female, anyone can gender identify as litterally anything they want.

Since sexes and genders are the same thing and we have two of em, yes these are the same.
I could see a scenario where a "bisexual" would not be attracted to one form of "transsexual" or another. Wants the males to be overtly and unmistakeably masculine in all things and the females to be completely feminine in all things. Thus, no mixing allowed within an individual.
If you believe there are only 2 genders then they are the same. If you believe there are more than two genders, then they can be different.
According to the posted definitions, they are exactly the same. But I was under the impression that "pansexuality" included many more types of living things that you would be willing to have sex with.
no bi and pan sexual is not the same thing. bisexual is where you like only a girl or guy, a pansexual likes a whole array of gender. there is more that they are attracted to and not just female and male. if you want to get into the gender debste we can go there

It would seem to me based on what people are writing that Bisexual is really a subset of Pansexual, not the reverse! Am I wrong?
I think you do (no offense). I believe pansexuality IS indeed a subset of bisexuality, like pan people are the 50/50 bisexuals. Just in the middle of the sexual spectrum, while a bisexual can like women more than men or the opposite.

I think that they can be the same. Let me explain.
Bisexuality is the attraction to your gender and the others (including non-binary, genderfluid...), and it can be in different deegrees. You can like women more than you like other genders or vice versa, or you can like all genders equally, and here's where pansexuality comes.
Pansexuality is the attraction to a person no matter what their gender is, so we could say that pansexuality is the same as bisexuality 50/50 (a person that feels the same attraction to all genders).
So that's why I think that pansexuality should be included inside bisexuality and not cause more difference and separation among the members of the same community.

I think the difference with pansexuality is that you're gender blind, whereas with bisexuality you may not feel the same about both genders but you are attracted to people from both. But basically they're the same thing
