This is a fascinating Q to me.

My last girlfriend said I was TOO intense when we were intimate. She couldn't meet and hold my gaze. She got this very screwed up face when we kissed.

In retrospect, I should have taken these as bad omens. We have since broke up.

But I never found out what she meant about "TOO intense" gaze.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Eye contact between humans can be considered "aggressive" behavior. For her, she clearly felt threatened. Why seems to have to do with something internal about her eye contact experiences. Looking at someone you love SHOULD be pleasant and a turn on.
