Is there a double standard when it comes to shaving and hygiene?

Men always expect women to be hairless but their junk usually look like it has a freaking Afro and expect us just to cough up fur balls and some men never shave their chests or back either, which in my opinion looks gross , unless they’re older, then it’s kinda expected.

If you have a nice body. in my opinion a guys chest and abs or stomach looks better with little to minimal hair , especially if he has a good looking body and works out, if he doesn’t it doesn’t matter as much. And the Junk part is just for hygiene, nobody likes hair balls.

  • True I shave

  • Speak for yourself, I date men, not metrosexuals.

    • If you like coughing up fur balls go ahead , I’m not stopping you.

  • If there is a double standard, it's women's own fault. Men make it clear they prefer women's bodies smooth and hairless, but women generally don't do the same with men. In fact, most women prefer a man NOT shave his chest or legs, and in my experience many women prefer a man's junk natural too. If they don't, most guys would have no problem grooming to their woman's reference... if you ask.

I'm married but in the past I dated a woman who told me she would like it if I trimmed down there, so I did. No problem. My wife, on the other hand, prefers me natural and thinks it's weird for a man to trim or shave their body hair. No worries, I'm now 100% natural except for my face and neck.

The fact is body hair is viewed as unfeminine, and more masculine, and men and women have difference preferences because men like feminine women and women like masculine men. That's not a double standard, it's nature.

If you want your man to groom himself a certain way, then just ask him to. Problem solved.

  • It's a double standard, but I'm still not going to date a woman who doesn't shave.

    • Yet usually men don’t shave. Isn’t that hypocritical?

    • Sure. I'm still not dating a hairy woman.

    • You can't fight the double standard and not shave, nobody is forcing you, just don't be surprised when men don't want to be with you.
