By the age 18 you should know what's right and wrong. At 16 you're trying to figure out what you want to do with your life. Not wanting to explain to your parents why you're pregnant.

Legal age varies by culture, territory and country. I believe that the mental age of the person is the key to being able to give informed adult consent. In the majority of places that age is 18.

13 seems to be a good age. When Ruth Bader Ginsberg was a judge for the ACLU before she was nominated to the Supreme Court in 1993 she argued that the age of consent should be 12

@Skankhunt Well, the whole premise of the question was “IF 13 was legal”. 13 is hardly a child. Many 13 year olds could pass as 20. Now, would I fuck a 13 year old girl, no, it’s not legal, but I can fantasize about it and there’s nothing wrong with fantasies.
