Men who are against women having a sex life are bitter of other men's success. True or false?

In recent weeks we've seen a rise in comments on GAG along the lines of "women shouldn't have sex..." often it's the usual religious zealot who thinks women who aren't virgins on their wedding night should be burnt at the stake or a Trump worshipper delighted at the abortion ban and wants to gloat.

But I've another theory. Men who are opposed to women sleeping around are bitter at the fact we're nor sleeping with them. It's a clear case of if I can't get pushy no one can.

  • Both true and false. There are for sure loads of those beta simp types who can't seem to get sex, and all the Trump loving guys who can't either, yeah. But I think there are other men who would still dislike women who sleep around even if they as men didn't want to sleep with them. And then you have men who are getting sex, but still don't like women who have been with several men either.

    I think all this "bitter" man stuff is too simple of an argument women try to use against guys for this issue. It feels to me like if they can just cancel out any guy as bitter or a virgin who doesn't like women who've had a lot of bodies on them, then it just makes them feel better as women to believe it, and it's not necessarily a true idea. No doubt, I've met a ton of guys on the Internet who are not having sex - maybe even still virgins - and they're angry because women who are having sex don't want them back, but in reality I don't think that spells the situation for most men. Like I said, you have guys who are getting sex regularly, and many of them still don't like women who've slept around either.

  • I'm fine with people deciding to do whatever they're going to do. I'm NOT fine with people being in denial about the likely COST of certain choices, only to start complaining a decade later and demanding that the world should save them from the consequences of their own choices. That's why I talk about this issue a lot: to educate and to tell the truth about the likely consequences.

    Should someone KNOW the consequences, and choose to do it anyway, fine. Accept the consequences with grace when they come, and take accountability for your choices. But when people say "no one told me it would be this way, and it's not fair, so you need to step up and save me from these unfair consequences", that's now bringing the rest of the world into the issue, and that means we get to bring our perspectives with us.

    Women being promiscuous when they're young in kind of like a credit card: it's fun while you are charging things on the card and not having to pay for things up-front, but eventually you max out the card and can't buy anything new, AND you ALSO have to start paying all that money back, WITH INTEREST, so it's even more expensive than you realized. The price you pay for being promiscuous doesn't have to be paid up front - you can delay payment until you're in your 30s - but not only will life collect every penny you racked up in debt, but it will also charge you interest payments on top.
