Aside from this whole "no sex before marriage" thing being a religious thing, in my opinion it's also very abusive and controlling and an excuse for women for you having to marry them.
This is basically them WANTING and DEMANDING you to marry them first then they'll have sex with you.
Frankly depends on what else can bring into the relationship

For most people in an open Western country, this does not make sense and I would suggest nature is not really one for waiting for human made traditions. So such a delay is only really made for personal - perhaps ideological - reasons.
