Why or why not?
It brings drugs, crime, and makes the neighborhood very crappy. Not to mention a lot of guys have weird tastes AKA minor attracted people. A lot of sex tourists go to find young people to satisfy their urges. You can bet there would be an underground thing for high paying customers in legalized areas. Prostitution is not safe even when regulated. The lies of the porn Industry that pornstars are the most clean and protected is BS. STDs are rampant in the industry. It would be even worse with prostitution regardless of safety practices. Some girls don’t care about satisfying their customers. They go off time, and if you don’t orgasm in that time they charge more or walk out. A lot of the girls are hustlers. They say one price then try to nickel and dime you. Alcohol would be an issue as well as black windowing (roofie the guy and steal everything). In an established government run area, it would be safer and less crime but it would also be less sexually satisfying to play by the book. That’s my opinion from seeing international sex tourism.

prostitution isn't a crime where i live. i'm not a customer. i don't like having sex with a prostitute, so i leave that to people who like it but i do think that the fact that it's legal helps with institutional regulation of the "profession". so it prevents human trafficing, stds, violence, rape and other crimes that are typically adjacent to sex work if it's illegal.
because if you're already doing a crime, you have less of a mental barrier to commit even more adjacent crimes (drugs theft and so on) but if what you do is legal, you will have a bigger barrier to entrance of criminal activity.

I only pity those who were sex trafficked and looking to get out. I feel nothing for prostitutes, strippers, male gigolos, etc. Prostitution is some bottom of the barrel shit

1 14Yes, less rape would happen in the world with a legalized prostitution.
0 2 0 0I think it should be, so prostitutes don't get physically assaulted by her John and the John not getting any jail time.
0 1 0 0The prostitutes don't want to go to the police because they're doing something illegal. Which means they'll be physically abused more.
Nope because pimps are immoral. Escorts however is already legal here so sex work is allowed just not the kind that involves other criminal activity and abuse of women.
And I would assume since your america didn't think of this difference as it's more European view of the difference between such words, even if places use them wrongly as the same thing.0 0 0 0Pretty sad you need a prostitute to get satisfaction
0 0 0 0I am just asking in general, not for me personally, bud. Lol
Yes. It is a victimless crime.
0 2 0 0Yes. So that then the gov can tax the hell out sex workers and lower other taxes.
0 0 0 0Yes. We need the tax income more now than ever
0 0 0 0Absolutely. Nothing wrong with it.
0 2 0 0Yes! What harm are they doing? They're at least providing a service for horny guys that can't get any pussy and are possibly stopping guys from TAKING someone's pussy against her will.
0 2 0 0I don’t know why it’s legal for a woman to leave a bar with a man who buys her $50 worth of drinks, but illegal to go home with him for $300 in cash.
I don’t know why it’s legal for a woman to marry a man for money, but illegal to have a one hour relationship for money.
I don’t know why it’s legal for me to lie to a woman, manipulate her and play with her emotions to seduce her, but illegal to offer her money.
Maybe prostitution involves too much honesty.
0 2 0 0Maybe they should come up with standard
0 1 0 0like regulating and introducing safe ways to both parties involved.
As long as they are not violating the person or property of another, why should it be my business what consenting adults choose to do?
0 1 0 0If it's between consenting adults then it should definitely be legalized and decriminalized, when adults consent then it should be no one else's business
0 0 0 0It isn't criminal in many countries.
If decriminalized, then it must be regulated/monitored to avoid problems.0 0 0 0Might as well it's already rampid lol when they took down backpaged well onlyfans was created and now women stopped using pimps and going onto business themselves lol shit wild..
