Kim K is more surprising to me. Reality TV is such a strange concept to me, that we’d be entertained by watching other people live their lives. Rihanna at least has a marketable skill as a performer. Kim…I guess women decided they wanted to look like her? Now it seems like every unnaturally-attractive woman went to her plastic surgeon and said “I’ll take one Kim Kardashian face, please.” It’s not that she’s bad looking, but I’m just shocked she was picked to be “the one”, like this is the standard to aspire to.

But like, just the idea of there being “influencers” in life, period, is WILD to me. I don’t have InstaGram, but when I see it, I’m like “HOW IS THIS COMPELLING?” I’m supposed to spend hours out of my day looking at photos of other people? WHAT? For what? WHY? I don’t give a shit what you had for lunch, I don’t give a shit what you’re wearing, I don’t give a shit where you went on vacation. I mean, we really need a serious societal recalibration if we consider this captivating entertainment, lmao. I have no personal problem with any of these celebrities, and a lot of dudes could for sure dial back the intensity as sports fans, it’s not just women and their celebrities, but again, what exactly does Kim Kardashian DO? I don’t want to watch wealthy people live better than me, I don’t get the appeal in that. I guess at this point she’s got some credentials as a businesswoman, and that’s all well and fine, but I’ll never get over how her rise to stardom originated from that sex tape, because I didn’t even have a clue who Ray-J was, let alone Kim.

the difference with rhianna is she has a singing career, products she sells, her getting punched in the face didn't make her a billionaire.

as for kardashian she saw what her ex bestie paris hilton did and kris and her wanted fame more then anything, so kris put together the plan and released the sex tape. while im no fan of the kardashians, they seemed to have made a lasting stay in the media for having no real talent. the real question here is what mom would watch her daughter have sex on tape and release it for fame? 🤷‍♀️

Inflation billionaires. Billionaire doesn't carry the weight it used to. When we say billionaire or millionaire we are thinking about billionaires and millionaires in the 1990s. Also celebrity billionaires are generally fake, it's part of the lifestyle they are promoting and their PR, really there's big money people behind them.

Both knew how to market what happened to them and now Rihanna is a massive star and Kim K is one of the most powerful and influential businesswomen in the US. They know the public opinion is petty and fickle and both knew how to work things to excel in their careers and now those things are mostly forgotten as the next big thing came along.
