There is no point in being male these days if... your self-esteem depends on other people. But, why should it depend on other people? As I think I've said to you before, you have to stop living for other people. Live for yourself.

Some of what you raise is legitimate. But, these are all problems that only the men themselves can fix. There are very few people who will hold you in esteem if you don't hold yourself in esteem. That's especially true if you're male. As for the police example, the biggest factor in the problem of bringing justice to situations of violence against men is the unwillingness of male victims to report violence to the police. The police in most cases of crime cannot do anything if the victims aren't even willing to report. If someone were to hit me, I would report it to the police.

Everything you said is true, but it's offset by the fact that men are generally more capable than women, so in the end, even though there is a strong bias in women's favor, men come out OK because we can make up the difference trough sheer effort and capability. Most of what you say is true, assuming we're talking about under 30, and a woman who is mentally stable.

Problems with your theory:
- to some extent women just have to be cute and young and pretty. To some extent, all people want from women is that they be cute and young and pretty. Cute and young and pretty women have it easy. Older, less attractive women may find it -harder- to get respect, attention and interest then men would. It's not impossible by any means, but there's a trade off here.
- They get fucked. If you're happy to get fucked, you don't need to be a woman. Gay men like nice young early 20's bottoms. Live the life.

Women have always been privileged like that. In some cultures if a man was beaten by his wife he would be the one punished. Men didn't even have decent safety regulations at work until women entered the work force.

Things have changed, but mostly in men's favor. Feminism put the idea of equality in our heads and now men are starting to demand equality for a change. Things are getting better for men, not worse.
