What counts is what society has chosen to be the age a young person can chose to have sex. 16 is the most common age but it is below the legal age of adulthood when you can sign phone contracts. So I think 16 is decidedly dubious.
It is pretty difficult to argue an 18 is old enough to vote, go to night clubs, get drunk etc but not old enough to chose to have sex. Yet ephebophile includes that range so I think that distinction is silly.

I don't think any one preference for body really makes me assume that, but if there's multiple and its a very strong like exclusive "preference" then I would be suspicious. I don't care if a man prefers shaved, but if he finds all body hair gross and can only be attracted to a totally shaved woman, that's a little odd. Add on a few more things like that and I'd be suspicious. But I wouldn't call that a "preference" I'd call it a requirement.
