I think it should be legalized as long as it's regulated and safe for both the prostitutes and the customers.

I think it should be illegal. It's too filthy and there's always a chance of catching STDs and other problems.

  • Did you read the article? The author writes about the reason for marriage changed throughout history. It went from women marrying for support to marrying for companionship which is due to women becoming more financially independent once they were legally allowed to work and later legally entitled to equal pay. So there’s some truth to what you’re saying but it’s not as clear cut as you’re making it out to be.

In regards to getting money after a divorce I’d encourage you to look up spousal support and why it exist. Not every woman who divorces is entitled to money and in some cases women end up paying men.

My source is the marriage class I took and passed this semester 🤓

  • It should be legal. Have it set up like in Nevada where you have to go to a brothel. Doing this would take the power away from abusive pimps and sex traffickers. Unionize it so that way the prostitutes have the control of the brothel's and not some pimp.

You could have a brothel owner he could charge a small fee to the prostitutes for room rent like a few hundred a month. Then the owner can sell drinks and food for customers waiting. Plus with unionizing the prostitutes can set up retirement plans and get good healthcare. Not to mention they would set their prices.

  • It should be legal so we can regulate it for the safety of prostitutes and their clients. Each party should have to prove they’re STD-free, and on birth control in the woman’s case, before each session. And prostitution can be dangerous work but many prostitutes don’t feel safe seeking protection from aggressive, violent clients or pimps because they’re committing a crime too. If their work was legal they could report crimes against them to the authorities without fearing negative consequences.

  • I do think it should be legal as long as it’s safe and regulated. Mainly because lots of these men and woman who are sex workers get harmed and they cannot go to police because their job is illegal. I also see nothing wrong with it as long as it’s between two consenting adult in a safe establishment for both parties.

  • Some women are always going to be prostitutes whether it is legal or not. So by legalizing it, we provide those ladies security. After all they are human too.

  • Here in UK it is legal and I think it should stay that way

  • Option A. And I don't mind if some people say it should remain illegal, as long as they also aren't drinkers or smokers either (especially weed smokers), because I can't stand hypocrisy. So if someone chose B, they had also better be straight-edge or else, they can go to Hell with their double-standards.

  • It *is* legal in civilised countries.

Without being so flippant, prostitution is legal in more countries than not. The US is oddly puritanical about anything related to sex

  • I would like to hear what women think about it, as most 'prostitutes' are women, and rarely men!

    • Well 74% of women voted to make it legal

  • keep it illegal, if it get legalized, it become a bull shit fest of a fagot goverments wanting to tax the wemon, and sex workers, it be total bull shit

  • There will be pristitution wether or not its legal or illegal, so i would make it legal to better control it making it safe for both the women and the men. Condoms mandotory, insurance, clean, ...

  • I think it should be illegal because it's not a job.
Prostitutes have tons of job opportunities at the nearest unemployment office.
They don't want real jobs because the majority of prostitutes are lazy criminal freeloading vermin.

  • It should be legal and I don't believe in government regulation on anything, prostitution being no exception.

However, I don't have a particularly positive view of prostitution personally.

  • For a better society prostitution should be illegal but simply because I hate women yes legalize it. I wanna see how many of you hoes turn to cash after the fact.

  • It's legal, It's called marriage. :D

    • Don’t degrade marriage or the role of either spouse.

    • @evangeline777 Zing!!🤣🤣🤣

    • @FCDALLASFAN quit calling women prostitutes just because they love someone enough to marry them. Maybe that’s why you’re alone.

  • If you take a woman on a date, buy her dinner and take her back to a motel room... that's legal. Why should it be illegal to just pay up front and avoid all of the hassles involved.

  • You're confused.

Matchmaking and escort services ARE legal.

Prostitution like trafficking is simply the darker and shady side of legally available services.

Saying prostitution should be "legal" is like saying burglary and thieving should not carry criminal sentences for the person or the buyer when caught.

  • It should be legal and butt sex should earn u more.

    • You’re a gross whore.

    • @ShootShootBangBang Would you care to apologize?

    • Why should I? You’re like the girls the football players at my hs school would gangbang behind the school after the game. Don’t want to be called that? Don’t be one.

  • It should be decriminalised.

  • Unpopular opinion expecting many down votes.

Why am I not surprised that majority voted yes for prostitution.
We are reverting back to primal ideologies. We focus too much on selfish behaviors that have a lasting impact on mental stability. No better than animals in heat.
There have been several studies on the mental impact of hooking up. None of them good.

  • Legalised and taxed accordingly

  • Yes it should be legal we put a hell lot of efforts in earning our money
Its like just any other profession except we give it a personal touch

  • am fine with it becoming legal, its just not something for me.

  • Legal and regulated for safety. What people do to earn money, as long as it doesn't harm anyone, is none of my business.
