What is your opinion on "super straight"?

A new trend on the wrong side of tiktok has come to light. People are now calling their sexuality "super straight". The " super" part being they will only date biological women. They even made their own flag in hopes to be in the lgbt + community.

I say biological women because it is generally straight men following this trend but I am sure there are some women also following

Personally, I think the only reason this was created was to discriminate and be transphobic. Straight still defines your sexuality, you just have a preference.

  • It's a troll job but I doubt it vanishes because it taps something real.

traditionally people used "heterosexual" to mean attraction to the opposite gender/sex, treating sex/gender as the same. (Similar for homosexual). People now draw a distinction between sex and gender. That's fine. While the labels may be newish (like 50 years old but slowly becoming more widespread) they do define different things (though what's meant by gender varies even between second and third wave feminists but we can ignore that for now).

so I now see heterosexual as being usually defined as attraction to the opposite gender.

I've always found this a little questionable. I'm not convinced this is how a majority of people's sexuality works and certainly not how it seems to me that mine works. If I was trying to be precise I'd say my sexual orientation is to people with vaginas. I have a strong preference that is close to an orientation that they be women or agender and not presenting as overly masc. but assuming sexuality is "gender first" with things like genitals being a preference doesn't wing true for me at all.

all of this is relatively unimportant of course since I don't have a wave of trans women who haven't had bottom surgery trying to pressure me into having sex and accusing me of being transphobic for declining. That -is- something I've heard happening in some lesbian spaces where there seems to be more pushing by some trans women on the subject.

anyway I've seen it blowing up a few places, most of the people in it are trolling or just in it for lulz. Some are moderately to significant transphobic. Others are just happy to point out that some of the "stated orthodoxy" of gender strikes them as garbage or to just use its language to argue how they actually feel. And some I suspect are embracing it entirely without guile, just like they happily have friends who are pan sexual and discuss how someone can be bi but not pan, it's the most natural thing in the world to them for there to be a term for straights or gays who have a hard genital requirement for their arousal.

We will see it I suspect it becomes detached from the jokers who started and just gets absorbed as a recognized category.

    • Seems it's already started to be taken seriously unfortunately

    • I'm not sure but that might actually be a good outcome. Or not. The people who think it's a joke don't accept trans people are their stated gender. So they think "superstraight" is actually the same as straight and are just playing a linguistic game using their opponents toolkit. But people who take it seriously are fully accepting various combinations of gender, sex and so on and simply trying to express their orientation in that framework. That doesn't necessarily change the number of people willing to date trans people or invalidate them, any more then having separate terms for "pan" and "bi" does. People have often asked if men who are attracted to women with penises are straight or not, this terminology would actually make that easy to answer (straight but not super straight). I don't know I figure it either dies out or more likely becomes benign. Dating will continue to be hard for trans people but that's not going to entirely change, though the more tolerant people are the more those who are open to dating trans people at least won't feel a need to hide it.

    • I feel like you think pan and bi are the same thing. They are similar but there are key differences. Its all just preference, but there's a line. A girl could say "I've only dated black and Hispanic guys" which is fine but if she says "I would never date white guys because they are gross and not manly enough" that's a problem. Having a genital preference is also fine but again there's a line cause not all trans people have their original equipment. Also can't say people who are able to give children because not every bio person is fertile. The way this is, is just plain discrimination. The whole point of it was to make the lgbt community angry.

  • Don't you understand what's going on here?

The vast majority of the population is "cis straight" - essentially what they're calling "super straight" - and that's always been the case. That's the NORM. But some SJWs are attacking these folks because, in this case, they aren't (sexually/romantically) attracted to trans people. Well, trans people have no right to have other people find them attractive. Sure, some people do, and that's fine - no one is trying to prevent that. But neither should the majority be shamed because they don't find trans people sexually attractive, or have any interest in being in a romantic relationship with them. There's nothing transphobic about that - to be transphobic, you would need to be against trans people existing at all, or against them having relationships with people who find them attractive. No one is saying either of those things - but those psycho SJWs are still calling people transphobic.

So, now, the "cis straight" normies are using SJW's own arguments against them. SJWs argue that people can define their own sexuality, and that it must be respected... so these normies are now calling themselves "super straight" and defining that as people who don't want to be in relationships with trans people - only those of the opposite sex who were born that way. And the SJWs are upset that their own rules require them to respect this - which, of course, they don't intend to follow - they just want everyone else to follow their rules when it works against them, not when it works FOR them. That's why the SJWs are losing their minds - they've been out-maneuvered by their own propaganda, and anything they do to try to fight it only undermines their own arguments.

  • There is only straight, bi and gay. No such thing as super straight because if you’re straight it means you would be repulsed to sleep with the same sex so yes a straight man would not want to sleep with a woman who is not biologically female. Any man who does is BISEXUAL.

As a straight woman I would be repulsed to sleep with a “trans-man” who was born a female just as much as I’d be repulsed to sleep with a female who has not transitioned.

All men I know are straight and they would feel disgusted and physically sick to even think about sleeping with a man or a man who became a woman. They have told me things like “no I would only sleep with a real girl.” So only bisexual men would actually sleep with a trans.

I think there are probably more women who have bisexual tendencies so they might be open to it.

  • Makes sense. The lgbtq community is stupid and hypocritical, they throw the word "homophobic" and "transphobic" like it's nothing. It's okay to have opinions but don't try to force them down people's throats.

    • Lol you would love ISIS because they also think the LGBTQ community is stupid

    • @NorthwestRider I didn't hear anyone mention cousin marriage or blowing up ancient history, so you came to the conclusion ISIS and the DNC are that similar all on your own?

    • @razelove Don't mind Rider. He's every bit the liberal extremist as ISIS terrorists are Islamic extremists. His comments and opinions on any given question are predictable in often posing these nonsensical conflations that borders on the imbecilic.

  • I think that might be one of the movements I'd happily join:
    https://voca.ro/1kII75cmYdh4

    • I hope you realize I don't actually listen to these

    • No problem! I just use you as a sort of exemplary foot soldier to express my thoughts about society.

  • It's fucking brilliant. They've taken the insult feminists throw around "cis-male" and turned it into a sexual identity that should be protected. Seriously, that is genius, take what is, essentially not changing anything, but create a "super" group that simply doesn't want to have sex with transsexuals... to be protected under the same banner as transsexuals, oh I love it.

God do I love it, I guess I can't be super straight any more, because just now I wanted to blow super straight for being so awesomely manipulative, shit.

  • I think it's a good idea. LGBT community is hypocritical, ideological propaganda group and this, is going to be a PERFECT proof of that fact.

What is your opinion on "super straight"?
    • The meme 😂

  • What is your opinion on "super straight"?

im straight and everything but even i think thats just as bad as the rainbow flags
if you are who you are gay or whatever just know your right and laugh at those who are complaining. i have family who are gay and feel the same way as i do they dont flaunt it and they could care less fr the gay pride stuff its a running joke for them. and i think
this super straight this is a running joke and besides the ones going for this are probably gonna be gay in the next month or 2 if they want t be under the same banner as the gay community HA.

  • Yeah, pretty sure they are fucking with the far left that demands that they date trans women or their bigots. by doing it this way they are now turning the far lefts rules against them by designating their sexuality as distinct and thus making them a protected class that you are not allowed to discriminate against.

    • Nobody is demanding anyone to date anyone 💀

    • Your joking right?
      medium.com/.../when-you-say-i-would-never-date-a-trans-person-its-transphobic-here-s-why-aa6fdcf59aca
      pjvalentineblog.wordpress.com/.../
      newspunch.com/bbc-ransphobic-date-transgender/
      transgenderfeed.com/.../
And according to this article, the person who came up with the phrase literally did so because he was tired of being accused of being transphobic for not wanting to date trans women, so he stated that fine, being "super straight" is a sexual orientation and therefore trying to claim he is transphobic for wanting to date a woman is in fact discriminating against him because of his sexual orientation (which it would be anyway): www.pinknews.co.uk/.../

    • Not wanting to date trans people is a preference, not sexuality. its discriminatory, it's a group created to exclude an entire group of people. It would be like creating sexuality that says "I only date white guys"

  • This is just sad on so many levels.

teens in life have a really shit time deciding their sexuality, often flip flopping between straight, bi, gay and getting confused as fuck.

now these fuckwits will make it even harder for your average teen to explore who they are.

this sits alongside the idea you can cure someone’s sexuality by sending them to a camp (forget the name of them).

Utterly utterly pathetic and a sign of the type of oppression anyone daring to be different can face.

having them within the LGBT community would be like having people ready to expose others for not being ‘normal and meeting their ideal’.

going for a rum and breath

    • Well, their sexuality is just as valid. Most people actually are superstraight or supergay. Most people know they are superstraight or supergay even before ever experimenting with anything.

    • @anylolone sorry but bollox. Who the fuck has ever said they. Are super gay? I now have a great piss take for some mates now. Super gay, Yes people can do what they want but this bunch of cockwombles are using it to cause trouble. If fuckwits like this start messing young adults heads, then they need put down with a double tap. Bound to be some stupid bloody religious thing behind it,

    • The simplest way I can put it is if someone asks you if you like apples or pears you wouldn't say "I like nashi pears" you would say "pears, I prefer nashi pears though" "Are you straight?" "I'm super straight" ✖ "Yes, but I prefer cis women/men" ✔

  • "... I think the only reason this was created was to discriminate and be transphobic"

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand you lost me. I immediately stop taking anyone seriously as soon as they used that overused-as-fuck buzzword. And no, it's not a "preference" to not literally be homo/pansexual and be a 'straight' man who willingly fucks men.

I'm hyper-straight. I wouldn't even date/sleep with a queer ("bisexual") woman. Gross. But yeah, way to set back already-shaky trans-acceptance by now demanding straight people change their sexuality in order to fuck men in wigs... I mean, "men with gender dysphoria." (And I don't even hate transpeople; shit like this just makes it even harder to take most of them seriously. I meant it when I said this sets back trans-acceptance. What a joke.)

    Hyper-straight... Out!

    • I dOnT hAtE tRanS PeOplE *misgenders and makes fun of them*

  • I don't know. Guess it's okay. I'm kinda super straight myself.

  • Tiktok is for retarded dummies.

  • Weird and lame

  • I think it is dumb
    As dumb as "latinx"
first, why are americans trying to change our language,
Second if you want gender neutrality just call them latin
Why the need for this latinx?
    The first world problems
The latinx took off in your country so there is a possibilty the whole super straight thing will as well
I hope it will not spread over to the world as your American trends often do, I doubt this though

  • Why not purple and grey... or is that flag taken yet?

    • It's on the asexual flag

    • guess I'm looking asexual today

  • I mean it’s 2021 you have to be accepting these people are so brave for coming out as super straight

  • 4chan appropriated it bc they wanted to make trans people look bad, same for the map flag and it's okay to be white. Fuck 4chan. Not being into trans people is okay, also trans people want someone who wants them as well.

  • Don't be so heterophobic.

Some people just don't want to date frankensteins, and it's their choice.

You must be one of those special stupids that think allowing trans to use the same bathrooms means they must now be seen as equals by everyone and accepted by all.

  • I don't support this because it concedes the playing field to those who push the "trans" ideology. If you're a heterosexual male and you say you will only date women who were "assigned" female at birth you're playing into the terminology the trans people want everyone to use. Since I don't buy in to the trans ideology I don't concede that men who "feel like" they are women are women. And if you're heterosexual you're not going to be sexually/romantically attracted to those individuals.

  • I'd say it is a result of all of the changes in the last 10 years.
Straight used to mean straight... I guess since society has come up with 20 ways to classify yourself and sexuality... a clarification of straight had to be made.

Straight used to mean men liked women and women like men. Since now society is trying to change what a man and woman means... this term clarifies what people you are sexually attracted to.

My opinion? I couldn't care less.

  • I don't believe a person waving that flag could resist Selena Gomez with a penis. I feel they would drop to their knees as soon as she walked that engorged peen into the room. 100%. :)

  • Hilarious.

  • I think it belongs in the same place that metrosexual matriculated from and should return to because
