Gentle kiss with no tounge is the best in my opinion. I thought I'd like kissing with tounge before I did it but I'm not that into it. It feels like getting sauce all around your mouth when you're eating or something like that. Because you feel the wetness on your lips and it's not a enjoyable feeling for me. It looks really passionate and fun but yeah I'll stick with dry kisses :P
I think it depends. If you guys are taking things slow and everyone is still a little nervous than more of a prolonged peck is probably right. But if it's a lot of sexual/sentual tension building up over time, then you probably want to start off with pecks and go into frenching.
But it depends on the mood. Case by case.
