This depends on the guy's personality. Was it a bad break up? Would he be vindictive and spread them on 4Chan or whatever? Honestly, sending nudes is always a gamble, no matter who it's to.
If you're that concerned you could always request he get rid of them, if you're still on good terms with him. You're being paranoid but it's totally justified, I would say. It's always scary when someone has potential blackmail over you, even if they don't intend to use it that way...

He secretly pleasures himself to them occasionally and nothing else. (Weird but harmless)
He spreads them because he resents you. (Worst)
Most guys wouldn't do anything, yet he might show them to somebody if he's a dick. You should try not sending nudes to a guy unless you want to stay in a long-ass relationship with him.

Well, that's the downside of sending nudes. I don't think you are being paranoid at all as many people are getting their nudes spread around. Of course that doesn't mean that he will do it, but if your relationship with him is still okay, I would request telling him that the nudes make you uneasy and that he should unsave them.
You know him the best but there would have been a bigger chance of him doing that if you were the one who broke up with him OR it depends on the reason why he broke up with you. however, it's not legal to do so at least not where I am from so yeah tell him that if you feel insecure. Good luck
It depends how it all ended. Sometimes you think you know the person but you really don't. Never send nudes with your face. Hopefully he won't share them with anyone.

Anyone with a modicum of knowledge will not keep things like that on a phone. Like I say, they will be backed up somewhere that cannot get lost, and backed up multiple times.

I don't know, either I would keep them or delete them by respect. It depends of the breakup. If the breakup was really bad, I'll keep them as "potential assets" (although if she choses to respect me afterards, I'll probably delete them). Otherwise I would delete them by respect of the girl.
