I usually do 6 month rotations, but due to my position, I sometimes fly back to the shore (work related, naturally). Which is an ordeal in itself, but still better than those who aren't naval aviators. Ofc if there is something going on in the world, the 6 months can vary.

Well, a catapult launch is the ultimate speed trip. 0-230 mph under 3 seconds. Packs quite a punch. Unfortunately the landing part is almost that in reverse. Also packs quite a punch.
